But can't that be said of every act? They feed off the popularity of their previous succes. It allows them to keep on doing what they are doing...bringing their music (and newly recorded music at that) to the people that want to hear it.
The way some of you talk in here, you would think that no band should play their previous hits and should only play their current music.
Nostalgia is a good thing. It lets most of us relive/remember a different time and put perspective into our current situations. Hey, I would even argue, it's a good thing...
What's wrong with Nostalgia?

To me nostalgia is a good thing too.

So, your words come from the same bitterness and spite as Froy's words come from.
It has NOTHING to do with the music or the quality of their performances - if it did, you wouldn't be supporting them even if Dennis left in a way where you couldn't blame Styx.

From your own fingers, "I say those things about Carrot Styx only because of what happened " What you say about Styx has NOTHING to do with the music - only band politics.

What is the point of a band who doesn't believe in their future releasing new music? There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a band looking towards the futures instead of being satisfied with only reflecting on the past.

Yeah, so? To me it's the band politics of what happened of why I have the viewpoint that I have.
So, I have my own opinion and I pretty much heard the various sides from their own mouths directly to my face - so what. I'm just a little more sensitive than most if not all STYX fans of what happened. I guess I care more about the feelings of all the people and their families that were involved of what happened on most of the "sides".
Look at Aerosmith.
The "so" is that you wouldn't like this band no matter what their music was like, or how they performed, or you wouldn't say, "If Dennis left and gave them best wishes I would be supporting the hell out of them, big time."
Any comments that you offer about Styx' music is irrelevant - because, by your own admission, you wouldn't like it no matter what it sounded like. They could never do ANYTHING to please you.

Oh my gosh, I love the way Carrot Styx played "Can't Find My Way Home" and made it their own. I love that version more than the original. Way to go guys!!!
LOL, believe me there are ways I could be pleased, even by Carrot Styx
Giving compliments to ONE SONG does not mean you "like this band".
Oh really. What could they do MUSICALY to please you and make you like the band? I don't mean POLITICALY, such as : asking Dennis back into the band, or offering some words of apology, or not performing certain songs Dennis wrote or sang.
Your own words show you are coming from the same place froy does...Now you are trying to back track.
