MTV REPORT

I had to make sure I heard it right the first time but I just saw the report again for a second time. MTV is reporting that Lawerence Gowan is teaming up with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and some guy from the Byrds? or Yardbirds? to record a (Beatles Volume ll ?? ) CD in late 2006, and then do a European tour at the beginning of 2007.

They are waiting for Pauls, and Styx's tour schedule to be completed before they head into the recording studio.

MTV stated that Gowan was chosen because of the strength of his I Am The Walrus cover and his 'overall vocals on Big Bang Theory and how his vocal work compliments that of Classic Beatles'.

Yoko, and George's family are 100% behind the project a spokesperson for Paul McCartney stated.

Not too damn bad for a guy who cant sing!!!!!!!!

I guess Froy was right the new Styx is toast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And in related stories:

Doctors have confirmed that both Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, M.B.E., had profound hearing loss -- acerbated by years of loud onstage performing and screaming teenage girls. Added Mr. Starr’s doctor “Plus, everyone knows Ringo is a little goofy anyway.”

From the Harrison estate in Hawaii, Olivia Harrison was heard to comment: “Gowan? Gowan? Is he the one with the spinning keyboard? WHATever…”

Yoko Ono commented that this project would be another aspect of the “many weird things John and I have done over the years including our Bed-In and that famous naked album cover….”

Welcome to another edition of MTV news......

This just in.........Hundreds of Pigs were seen flying over hell, which is hosting the largest ice hockey tournament in history ! The pigs were of no relation to the giant pig made famous by Pink Floyd. We'll have film at 11.

in other news, rumors that Lawrence Gowan can actually carry a tune have turned out to be false, when asked for comment, Sir Paul McCartney said "Larry who ? We had a sound technician named Larry once, he coulndn't sing a lick either......"

Stay tuned for more MTV news loater today on this station.

I don't have access to Mtv, but my good friend, who worked for Mtv for many years, said this:

Well.. I can tell you that MTV News is VERY careful to verify anything before it is reported. In fact, they were the LAST to report the Sammy Hagar/Van Halen reunion tour BECAUSE they wanted it verified so they weren't just reporting a rumor. Knowing that, I'd have to say that if it's coming from MTV News it's probably true.

If you did see this, oh my god. If not, you got me!

And oddly enough, it's nowhere to be found on Mtv's website.

It would have made more sense if it was 'reported' on VH1 or VH1 Classic. I doubt MTV would ever cover Styx or McCartney.

I, for one, think Yogi's posts are a nice change of pace, and I generally enjoy reading them!

Actually Gowan will be touring with Jesse McCartney and Star Jones, along with Pete Best and Danny Bonaduce, once the STYX tour clears a date around 2015.

I can't stand Star Jones - ACK. I like Jesse McCartney's music because of the kids. There was a special on Pete Best recently and Danny Bonaduce has to go - ACK.

2015? Yikes, another 10 years? Tommy will be about 61!!
