Styx Saga world tour 2006 ??????????

According to the Web Master on a Danish Saga page,JY approached them regarding touring together.Saga opened for Styx at the gigs they had here a few months ago,and on other occasions.
Saga is in the studio as we speak and couple of gigs in Europe before christmas.Finishing touches on cd and touring it in in summer 2006.
By then, Styx may have done their own cd and will be ready to tour.

Saga???? (No offense) I think I only know one song, and I can't think of it - LOL Is this like the Boston/Styx tour (rumor) that was suppose to happen?

Is Saga big in Canada?

Maybe the tour will do good in Canada, but I PERSONALLY don't think it would do that great in the States.

Do you have a link?

I also don't think the current line-up of Styx will have a new album ready by summer 2006.

ONE of the ways the current line-up of Styx will sell concert tickets, oops, I mean MORE concert tickets is if they do a tour with Ted Nugent/Night Ranger/Damn Yankees. IMO

Saga had a solid run 78-83/4 ish. They are big in Europe and Scandinavia.
Saga right now got new management/record deal.
Maybe they were aiming for a tour outside the States.
It was nothing concrete. This fella is pretty close to Saga. They mentioned it,but that was it.Maybe.

I think Saga would be a good opener for Styx...MUCH better the same old REO craze they have been on for years. Something different, but familiar.

"On The Loose" Saga is still HUGE in Canada and I have heard this rumor before. I think it would be interesting. If nothing else, it would be ANYBODY but REO! Please!

I think Styx would be better off sharing the world tour stage with a UK band along the likes of Edguy/Avantasia. Progressive rock and progressive metal/opera. One hellava show! :)

Thank you! I couldn't think of the name of that song. I can still remember the video - LOL

I agree, anybody than REO!! One of my friends was trying to pay me to see REO this past summer and I just couldn't go -LOL I've seen them too many times and heard too many stories. Like the songs, especially in concert.

Saga actually had two American hits (and I am trying to remember the othername~but I really liked them back then) but they are pretty big in Europe. So maybe Styx are planning a jaunt across the pond to give us a break! ;)

Out of the States, I think I can see this double bill. I think.

Does anyone actually think that Saga will draw in more people to this concert in the States? Seriously?

LOL, I had to read that over again, I thought you were really heartbroken

Ted Nugent/Night Ranger/Damn Yankees/Current Line-Up Styx

would be the way to go, the way to sell tickets and get the people in. From what I "heard", it's a no go by one certain member. He wouldn't be the "spotlight", that's one of the problems happening. Just something I can't back up on the board.

OK, I'll take the bait...

Let's see BBT isn't new because they didn't write it and Cyclorama isn't new because it is 2 years old and was released before BBT which again remains not new. Opposed to Dennis who can tour and hasn't released a full new material album since BNW which came out in '99 and really isn't a Styx album or 10 on Broadway that came out in '94 or the last real material album of Dennis' that came out in 1988 - Boomchild.

Not to mention that you are now the Financial Director for not only Styx but all the promoters in the free world and know how much everyone makes.

The only waste of time that we are seeing is me taking time to respond to your BS even though I know I shouldn't.

and it is NEW material not KNEW material, but i guess you gnu that.

I think a Boston/Styx billing would be pretty good show. Maybe a Stxy/Heart billing would be appealing. How about a Sammy Hagar/Styx billing?? Maybe a Rush/Styx double bill??

Recently I attended the Bryan Adams/Def Leppard concert here in Everett, WA. Some were saying it was an odd pairing but everybody who attended had a great time at the show. Maybe it might take an odd pairing to tour with for Styx? Something to ponder during the winter months in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

MJ, I saw this pair last Sunday. I agree some would think it an odd pairing, but Adams was better by FAR. It was NOT close.
