Yep, the party starts at 8pm and goes until 2am

Here's more information for those who are planning to go to the party. I love shrimp!!

Rivaling Pleasure Island's New Year's Eve bash, Universal's party headquarters lights it up on the final night of 2005 as '70s rockers Styx and the Funk Brothers featuring Gloria Gaynor raise the roof off the joint. Guests coughing up the $100+ will have the distinct privilege of dining on unlimited portions of filet mignon, jumbo shrimp and more than 60 award-winning culinary concoctions from CityWalk's many fine dining hotspots. All guests will receive party favors and champagne before being dazzled at midnight by the rockingest pyrotechnic display in town.

Adding to the festive holiday celebration will be an outdoor ice rink complete with skate rentals, while those in the mood to yuk it up can catch comedians Jim Breuer and Kevin Meaney inside CityJazz. The party continues with unlimited access to all of CityWalk's nightclubs, from Bob Marley's and Jimmy Buffet's to the Latin Quarter and the groove. Please note, this event is open to guests aged 21 and up and does not include admission into the theme parks. A limited number of VIP passes will be sold for $149 (plus tax) which include alcoholic beverages and access to special VIP areas. -- Faiyaz Kara (Photo: Universal Studios)

New Year's Eve With Styx

Jim Breuer was on Howard Stern not long ago talking about this. He goofed on Styx saying he thought they were okay before they went gay with Roboto. He laughed that he probably would've turned gay if he'd continued to listen to them. "Thank God for Heavy Medal dude"! He laughed again.

Of course his humorous comments were not my thoughts at all. But it was interesting to hear the casual fan's opinions on Styx. Many people I've spoke to over the years expressed similar views that they weren't liking the direction Styx was going there.
