Totally OT...game show host dies

I usually don't post this kind of stuff here, but one of my favorite game show hosts, Peter Tomarken of Press Your Luck, was killed in a plane crash this morning along with his wife! Here's the story if interested....

I saw that last night and was quite surprised. I liked Press Your Luck! But I was really shocked that Peter was now in his 60's!!!

Sorry, no recollection of that one, and I used to watch game shows a lot when I was younger. Maybe it wasn't on in my part of the country?

There was also a big scandal where a contestant figured out how to beat the game. He ended up winning a few hundred thousand dollars before he was so nervous he decided to quit.

When I worked part time retail I used to be the price checker, going to other stores and checking their prices against ours. I've been waiting for my chance to go on The Price is Right and kick some ass!!

When I was in California last time we were in line for "The Price is Right", we all had our Packer gear on - LOL I just missed getting in by 3 people. My friend slept in too late - UGH We did see Oprah and her crew when they were filming there. That was exciting.
In October when I go, I'm getting in line earlier, that's for sure!!
The only game show I tried out for was Wheel of Fortune. I should post those pictures - LOL That was fun, I made it pretty far - LOL
I'm sending my Survivor tape in soon with the application, it's a funny one. I have my Roboto shirt on - LOL

I have always wanted to go on the Price is Right, Darren wants to try out for jeopardy, and I'd love to try Wheel of Fortune when it's couples night..me and my brother would be great together.
Has anyone else been on any game shows?
