I just got this one.. a pre-FM straight from the original reel-to-reel.

Great stuff... only 7 live songs but sounds great... the band really smoked back then!

01 - The Grand Illusion
02 - Lady
03 - Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)
04 - Sweet Madam Blue
05 - Come Sail Away
06 - Midnight Ride
07 - Miss America

I agree with you, the band totally smoked back then. I really love listening to the old recordings/concerts.

Is this part of In The Studio?

Maybe... I think it has everything but the music edited out.

Not sure if that is the same one I have, but mine has more songs.

Intro
Grand Illusion
Lorelei
Mademoiselle
Fooling Yourself
Suite Madame Blue
Light Up
Come Sail Away
Lady
Midnight Ride
Miss America

This was was live in Chicago, sound quality is pretty good for an old boot, I have heard worse bootlegs from 1999 shows.

Also have the King Biscuit show which is A+ quality and has Born For Adventure that simply rocks!

I have to listen to this closer to determine, but the source said they believed it was from Chicago.

The sound quality on this is pristine as it's from the original reel-to-reel and thus pre-FM.

I've heard of this. I believe it was a special that ran in 1977 after GI was released. The program In The Studio didn't start until 1988 and it featured several Styx albums on different programs like GI, PT and PO8(with a bit of Cornerstone too) A great program! I wish it hadn't disappeared at the end of the 90s!
