I remember a while back someone said they had never seen the "LITR" video. I found it online here:

Enjoy,

Hey, it is the first time I have ever seen it in daylight, considering MTV only played it at 3AM when it was new!

I first saw this video when I was living in Durban South Africa. I was sitting at Milky Lane on the beachfront eating a waffle with ice cream. Milky lane had a bunch of tv's spread around. I started watching the video with no idea who it was. I though the song was cool yet familiar. Then I saw Dennis and figured it out. It was great to have a little bit of Styx when I was so far away from my home in the good ol' USA.

I knew Styx replaced Tommy and that they had an album coming out. LITR was quite a departure for Styx which was a good thing. I think it's interesting that Glen is kinda doing the frontman thing in the video. I wonder if he felt naked without a guitar strapped on.

Wow... it's hard to watch that and not think "huge mistake".

Bringing in another guy was bad enough... but having him sing the new single after the band had such a long layoff was a major blunder.

People needed to be reminded who Styx was with familiarity.... Dennis should have sung the first single.

Yeah, just like they did with the Crystal Ball album.

Completely different situation.

For one, the band wasn't established in 1976... they were an up and coming band with one hit.

In 1990, they were a legendary band that had disappeared for 7 years.

And let's not forget... "Crystal Ball" is a timeless classic. "Love Is The Ritual" is a dated typical late 80s/early 90s rock song.

Maybe I should start a thread to ask, but I will try here first.

How did Glen hook up with Styx for EOTC? Did he know the guys already? Was there auditions? Give me the story!
