Who do you think Andrew is referring to?

RUMOR MILL!! REUNIONS AND TOURS!:
A little excitement behind the scenes today - I'm hearing strong whispers about the possible re-union of a much loved band. Exciting stuff for fans that have waited a long time for this...let me continue digging and see what information I can't come up with for next week.
And no....it has nothing to do with Van Halen! [Why do I feel the need to add that disclaimer all the time?!]

Just so long as it's not a reunion of say... the outfield... or FLock Of Seagulls, or even Cutting Crew.... those three combined couldn't sell-out my living room :)

Damn Yankees

I think that's a possibility. What other bands do fans want to get back together.

Journey - ain't happening, unless it's a one night thing

Styx - nope, happy the way things are, just need Tommy on a few dates

There's really not many other bands that people care about.

Genesis

18th April 2006: Good news again: Phil Collins revealed in a recent radio broadcast on KGO NewsTalk that the band met in November 2005 and that they have discussed a reproduction of the live show of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. This would be "for a limited run of shows" and these shows would be "recorded and filmed". Collins also said that the band is "very enthusiastic about the idea" and that they will try to find the time to realise it

After the british tabloid press has spread the rumour about a possible press-conference, now also musicnews.virgin.net reports that Genesis will reform to record a new album and go on tour. There is no official word from any of the members yet, but Virgin is Genesis' record company that is now part of EMI

Old news by 3 months LOL , one of the members of Genesis lives around here and talked about Phil and Peter and crew getting back together.

A few of them already met and maybe even laid a few tracks down or something. - LOL

The Police and Triumph would be two great bands to reunite, esp. the Police.

Unfortunately, I don't think either one of those will EVER happen.

Guns and Roses - original members - rumors of a fall concert tour - and no I am not kidding. Heard it on WRIF - RIFF notes.

Hey Ash..

Just FYI..

The Outfield have NEVER "broken" up so they won't be this band. Tony and John still put out and made music through the 90s, and they just released a new CD.

As for the Cutting Crew, well it's just Nick Van Eade now, since the guitarist and other founding member passed away a few years ago.

Just thought I'd set you straight.

Don't knock the Outfield!

This would kind of be cool. What's the current status on Velvet Revolver, anyway?

We have the same thread going in the Journey forum. Andrew replied:

Andrew wrote:Not GNR, Not Damn Yankees and noting Perry / Journey related.

I assume he means "nothing" Perry / Journey related!

He said it was a "much loved band". Much loved by who? LOL People who visit Melodic Rock? It has to be one of the bands that's featured by Andrew on his site or that he has talked about.

Genesis is already getting back together. Are they a "much loved band"?

Extreme is doing one show with the original band or has already done the show. - I don't know how popular they are for everyone to care.

The Police- I don't think so. They had issues with each other at the Hall of Fame, bunch of babies.

Damn Yankees - I thought maybe they would do a few more dates together especially doing Alice Cooper's show 2 years ago. The chemistry is still there, Ted, Jack and Tommy were together for the taping of that SuperGroup show. I think if each of them found the time that one would be no problem.

GNR - already have the New York dates set. Don't know what's going to happen with those fun, loving, crazy guys. Hopefully Axl won't walk away - LOL

Triumph - no way in hell that band is going to get back together. If you thought the Styx situation was bad, holy moly!!

I LOVE the Outfield!!

Could it be STYX ???? We're getting there, band members are starting to flock together!!

Ohmygawd! I'll have you know...as an 11 year old girl...that was the first song I ever danced to with a boy. Now I'll have that stuck in my memory banks all day. LOL.

Who could forget the argyle socks...

(and somewhere in my basement...I still have the 45)

Actually, Men without Hats is still together...

Genesis would be cool.

As for GNR---You do realize that their situation is VERY similar to Styx's. It's not every day that the lead singer goes a little crazy and goes out on his own...can you just imagine that...

Quit Snickering Zan...

Good lord...comparing DDY to Axl Rose...that doesn't cause snickering...jaw dropping more like it.

The funny part is that I didn't make the original comparision, I was having a conversation with someone in the biz and they did.

Step back, look at the ego side of things (I like Dennis, the ego is a whole other thing, and I prefer them apart-everyone seems happier) and you might notice the similarities.

Axl is nuts though.
