So Froy, if it would have been Dennis Deyoung and the CYO would you have belittled them as well?

Regardless who they perform with, I thought those kids did a great job, and don't deserve your snide remarks just because you don't like the current lineup of Styx!

They aren't paid musicians like most orchestras, yet they poured their heart and souls into that performance and they should be applauded, not mocked.

If I were a parent of one of those kids in that orchestra and heard you speaking like that about their performance, I'd kick your ass up and down the block for being such an insensitive asshole!

You want to see and hear a great kids choir then look at the one that sang Nine Voices with YES at the Chicago Theater or the one that sang with Dennis now those were great kids choirs
Or the one that sang Give Alittle Bit with Roger Hodgson in France
all great kids choirs
Current Styx does not fit with any choir or orchestra.

Froy, I'm not defending this song or those kids jumping up and down. I'll get to that song in a second.

What my sticking point with you is basing their entire performance on one 2 minute clip on a website. I've been made aware that the kids swarmed the stage during the encore. So they cut loose and had some fun, they are kids!

Also, from what I've been told, they are an Orchestra, NOT a Choir.

Maybe I did over-react in my posting, but you have to understand something. I see great things every day coming from the youth that I teach. A lot of the kids in this small town that I teach in pour their hearts and souls into many different avenues, not just academics. We have kids that excel in Drama, Dance, Art, Music, Woodworking, Rodeo, Welding,etc. What burns me the most is when people mock or make disparaging remarks about the effort they've put into the projects or performances that they've done, not only for their peers, but for the community as well.

When I see something like the CYO I feel a great deal of pride for not only their accomplishments, but for the students that I teach, because I see the sky's the limit for them. Anything is possible.

As for Doctor, to be quite honest, I am not the biggest fan of Big Bang Theory. Have I heard a live version of Doctor? Yes, there's a few boots of it around, but I still haven't decided if I like it or not. Why? Because I haven't seen it performed live in person. The last time I saw Styx was in Oct/Nov of 2003. So I really don't have an opinion of Doctor, or even the newer tune "Just Be".

Or maybe I'm just bitter that Dennis Deyoung couldn't sell 250 tickets here in Edmonton and the show had to be postponed until november!

To be honest I am bashing the song not the kids in the CYO
The point Im making is the song is terrible
Gowan looks like a goof up there running around shaking his head and singing just aweful.
I do not know why you are going off about the kids orchestra
I really did not say anything bad about them
I have seen 3 kids orcehstra choirs and think there great
The Nine Voices song by YES and the kids choir was fantastic
Believe me my point here is this just shows that current STYX is just a bad band. To even play this song live is ridiculous.
And to have Gowan in the band instead of Dennis is even more ridiculous.
