BORING MERCH!!!!!!! IN UK

Postby styxmike » Sat Jun 10, 2006 5:13 am

Why is it that when bands come over here all they bring with them are bloody black t-shirts eh??
I'm fed up with boring merch, it seems to be 2 designs of black t in L and XL and a nice girly shirt
It happened last year with Styx and again with MSG and Journey this week, on the web sites there is all kinds of different colour Ts and baseball shirts, but come gig time its just the same boring black Ts
C'mon guys i've got a wardrobe full of black Ts , next time bring over the good stuff :) :)
I'm sure if JNY had brought over half the stuff on the web store , they could of kept the merch stall open all night and sold everything!!!!!
just thought i would get that off my chest LOL
It is STYX it says so on Larrys keyboards

Black is just the staandard Rock n Roll Tee. And not knowing how well things are going to sell over there they bring a narrower selection of merchandise. If they print 10 different shirts, then there is the chance they might eat 10 shirts. At least thats the philosophy.

We don't get everything they have in the store at the shows here either. Alot of what you see is the end run of the shirts they have been selling from show to show. I believe Casey changes shirts every 6-10 shows.

We just saw a concert at the beginning
of May and I was very disappointed in the
choice of T-shirts.
A few choice but just the cd cover on the front
and tour dates on the back in either black or
white.
I was hoping for thirty bucks they would make them
more interesting.
On a good note though they had various sizes.

Also,
for at least Styx anyways, they really haven't had a real string of dates like they are starting now and I would guess to some extent that there selection is more of last year's over stock.

Casey usually has 7 or 8 different shirts available in a variety of sizes. (as long as you don't consider Small a size)

Styx has some really cool t-shirts on their web site at the moment, trouble is the shipping costs nearly $20 to the UK, makes them quite expensive. I know this has nothing to do with the band as its a third party that sell the merch. Lets hope they bring some over next year.
The girlies seem to be well catered for nowadays, back in the 80s it was just big black shapeless Ts
