Dennis & Roger will be performing together on Canadian Idol. What were the odds for that to happen?

He's doing pretty darn good on his own, eh? One of the biggest tv shows in Quebec is Star Academie and he was a special guest and now another pretty big tv show in Canada, Canadian Idol he'll be on.

Here are my thought, I think Dennis is doing better now solo than if he was with the band Styx. I know it's Canada, but still. All those sold out shows.

Yes.. many sold out shows in Quebec, and a couple in Ontario (The Toronto show was far from sold out btw)..

But that's about it.. Remember, this is the same guy that couldn't sell 250 tickets here in Edmonton! But then again, the Oilers did make the stanley cup finals, which killed all shows pretty much in this city.

I know he's rebooked, but I think it's too little too late.

Jodes...Thanks again. That intro is GREAT. Hope it winds up on the next album (made into a song) or at LEAST the CYO thing. I'm guessing they're pushing for an Xmas release with the tunes on there!?!

Roger is a mess his managment needs to be fired

He could go on like this forever

To me he deserves to be back playing the oberhiem and singing with the STYX name behind him.

You thought Roger was great when we saw him together a few weeks ago.

I'll get more info on the Canadian Idol thing.

It's obvious that no one reads my posts, I had the radio link on here and he talks about it.

There are 8,000 reasons why I like the other forum - LOL At least I'm not talking to myself there :shock:

Anyway, just to let you know I'm planning to see the current line up of Styx at Summerfest. I'm going to have my front row seat staked out early in the morning on Tommy's side. I have a free pass for Summerfest so it will be another free show.

I miss Tommy's live songs a lot. I hope they play "Lights"!!!! Hopefully it will be a scorching hot day/night, I'd love to see what he'll be wearing or not wearing! :shock:

If Tommy wasn't there I wouldn't go. Why would I? Then the 2 voices of Styx would be gone! IMO!

Jo, that's a GREAT question! I wish I knew the exact date. Once it's on his website or Roger's or if I hear through the grapevine, I'll let you know.

He mentioned it in the interview that was posted here and also at his last show but never was concrete on a date. I'm thinking it's in the early Fall when the Idol contenstants dwindle down to 12 or under. They'll both be special guests and I think they're doing songs from the Styx & Supertramp catalog, I could be totally wrong like usual. Or maybe they'll be guest judges.

Suite, I think Star Acadamie is only aired in Quebec. I know there's French channels here in Alberta, but since I don't speak French, no real reason for me to watch anything on there.

Jodes, yes it aired in Quebec. He has the Star Academie clip on his website. My favorite part is with Suite Madame Blue, just amazing.

Thank you for the information. I will keep my eyes and ears open for that show, too. I haven't seen the show Star Academie here in Alberta, either. As Jodes mentioned, that is not to say that it doesn't air here, just that I haven't seen it. What channel is it on in Quebec? My French is very limited, so I would normally only watch if I had heard something about the program before it aired.

The kids and camp leaders had to pick out camp names and wear these funky nametags all week. I was so tired and wore out the first day, I snuck a few Monster Energies in just to get a boost.

LOL, I kept thinking how Froy mentions that Gowan is always drinking that stuff, so I had to pick it. The parents "got it", the kids thought it was one of the coolest "Leader" names - LOL The other leaders picked names of flowers and birds, I was the Leader of the boys camp so I wanted to be a little tougher! LOL
