hehe...Thanks. Although my wonderful husband left for London last night on a business trip. Looks like the only lovin' touchin' squeezin' I'll be getting is a hug from my kid and the dog's slobbery toy. LOL

(But we did play Laser Tag last Saturday, which I highly recommend)

The First Day Of Summer is a great song done by Tony Carey... I think it was a minor hit in 1984 too....

On The First Day Of Summer
Everyone knows your name

Yep, we're on the same wavelength Ash. First Day of Summer was a hit back then. That and the other Pop hits he had(like I Won't Be Home Tonight and A Fine Fine Day) scored slightly better than his Planet P Project which got FM airplay around here with Why Me. Always thought the keyboards on that sounded like the Dennis DeYoung keyboard break on Love In the Midnight on Cornerstone!

Oh, I'm sorry Zan, didn't mean to go off on a tangent there...HPAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!

Cool! When were you Carey's manager, Ash? How's he doing these days?
I enjoyed those songs very much! And he was no slouch as Rainbow's keyboardist either!

Many moons ago. I stopped working with him around mid 2001. At that point I'd worked to release his Boystown and Retrospective albums. I'm quite proud of the retrospective one. I also did his web site for about 5 years.

He's doing ok I guess. I haven't spoken to him in about 4 years. He did a simply awful re-recording of his third PLanet P record (which I have the origina version of) and a few solo things in a self-publish way. So I guess he's ok. He's put on some weight tho.

Sounds good Ash. I remember you telling me how you idolized some of your favorites......and then you started working with them. LOL! One guy told a similar story about Andrew "Dice" Clay. I can just imagine! LOL!

Sounds like it was an interesting experience working with Carey. Thanks for sharing!
