Recently I took my daughter roller skating .... and in the car on the drive we had nothing to listen to that she'd heard before so I put in my mix CD of Styx... and we listened to it in the car to the rink and on the way home. Now everytime we get in the car she asks me to "put in the Styx CD dad!!!"

So she's gotten a healthy dose of real Styx music. In fact the other day I heard her in her room playing with her stuff singing "domo arigato Mr. roboto" and "secret secret, I've got a secret".... just brought a smile to my face.

She's asked me to put a bunch of Styx on her computer so she can play it on her iTunes. I'll be doing that tonight.

I got my nephew started on Styx when he was 8 or 9 and took him to his first Styx concert at 10. He's 16 now and is visiting from the UK where he lives now and he got an IPOD for his birthday. While he was over here he wanted to borrow my Styx greatest hits so he could put all the songs on his IPOD, because even though I gave him that cd years ago for his birthday, he doesn't have the capabilites at home to put it on his IPOD and he must have those songs on there. THe boy is always thinking!

My 10 month old niece is next!

Since I finally learned how to burn CD's Ive made my kids a couple this summer that they absolutely LOVE. Its their favorite songs and it is a real mix.

My kids want one of these 2 CD's playing in the car wherever we go. They fight about whos CD gets put in the car deck. They are both the same. I made them each a copy. Its damn funny!!

How old is she? I got the impression she was older by your post.

My daughter used to love Girls With Guns and would dance like a nut when it came on. Then I introduced her to Palookaville, and she would sit in the back seat of yell "Shaw Shaw!" (she was like 2 and a half) I would say "No no NO! That's Glen Burtnik!" and she'd go "SHAW SHAW!" and back and forth like that for months. One day, I said, "GLEN BURTNIK!!!!!" and she smiles like the devil and goes "...Shaw Shaw. hahaha!"

Little brat.

She can tell the difference in voices between each of the guys in the band with no outside help from me - except Lawrence and Dennis. She says they sound too much alike. haha...I told her she's lucky she's smart enough not to post on Internet message boards, or she'd be sorry!

When my oldest daughter was two years old, she could sing Show Me the Way. she has a couple Styx cds of her own.

My wife and I went to eat lunch with 5 year old at school today, and this morning she asked me to waer my Styx shirt, so everyone could see the band she likes.

My nephew fell in love with "Lords of the Ring" and "Born for Adventure" a couple of years ago (when he was six). He would sing every word of both songs at full voice.
