Has anyone else noticed that they changed the picture on Styxworld? If you notice, NO CHUCK in site. I wonder if this makes it official that Chuck does not own any part of Styx anymore.

That's pretty sad! It sounds official if he's completely off of there.

Umm.. Chuck's still listed under "The Band" Bio Section..

http://www.styxworld.com/listingsEntry. ... PT=TheBand

So they changed the pic of the band so what. Don't forget, Chuck OWNS 2/5 of the Styx "shares". He's going through a rough time right now with the ill health of his partner, so what if he takes a touring sabatical away from Styx. If anyone deserves to take care of himself and those he loves it's Chuck. Whatever he decides to do, SO BE IT!

But if Chuck wants to perform with Dennis, that's up to him and HIM alone and I guess Dennis (and his manager lol). Hell, they've known each other for nearly 45 years I'm sure they will bury the hatchet once again.

Let's not over react here people!

Jodes,

Owning "2/5" of the Styx shares means nothing, otherwise Dennis would have won the court case hands down. Have you seen the 'original' agreement? Dennis had an airtight case...or so he thought...

No, since I'm not part of Styx's or DDY's legal team, I cannot say that I have seen the "lawsuit" or any of the inner workings. Sorry.

All I knew was that John's shares in the band got transfered to Chuck when he passed away.

So excuse my ignorance.

The lawsuit was thrown back and forth on the net for quite some time. Many users were able to read it. I think it depends on how you interpret it. Both sides claimed their case was airtight. We'll never know.

As to Chuck and the official site....well I guess the only thing that I can say is....I hope he maintains his health as best he can. Anything else is pure speculation that won't change a thing.

Peace

Well, he was at last night's show.

Styx changes that picture 3 or 4 times a year. Maybe Chuck just wasn't there when they took the picture - that's it. Or maybe seeing Chuck isn't at every show, they decided it was better to have the 5 members that are at every show.

We read way more into things than are ever were intended to be.

I think you read my post wrong, sorry 'bout that. I wasn't implying ignorance on your part, I assumed (we all know what that does...I assume  ) that most everyone had seen the text of the lawsuit Dennis filed. It showed clearly that current Styx was in the wrong to tour without Dennis using the Styx name. It would have been the same if they toured without JY as well or Chuck for that matter.

In any case I guess I was just trying to show that ownership of Styx shares isn't quite what it's cracked up to be. I wasn't trying to flame you, if that's what you thought.

You know, if I didn't think we were friends, I just don't know if I could bear it. :D

I bet Styx shares aren't worth quite what they used to be.

Hell I heard Tommy sold his for 5 grand.

Not for $5k, but as of about 1991 or so, he was no longer a "partner" so-to-speak. The legal docs are fascinating reading.
