I saw Foreigner with Lou at Pine Knob a few years ago and he did gain alot of weight. He didn't sound great but it was a very good show.
I thought the reason he's out is that him and Mick got into a fight. Low did an interview a year or so ago and explained what happened. Something to the effect that he finally was able to start writing music, but after he wrote something, Mick tried to change every lyric (or something like that).
