Hey,
Was just emailing yall for your prayer. I go into the hospital (again) tomorrow to try and get rid of this kidney stone. I went in the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the were unable to get it out. So they put a stint in (which is worse than having a stone) in hopes of expanding the tube between my bladder and kidney. I was also referred to a Doctor in Jackson, TN to have the stone blasted (since Dyersburg does not have the equipment). Had the hospital date and everything set up but the doctor said no because he does not like my insurance (why he didn't say this from the beginning I do not know). Since then I had another doctor in Jackson say no (because I was under the care of another doctor he said he started it let him finish it), and been to Memphis 3 times were I was told no (one said he doesn't do that procedure anymore, and another who thought the rate of success was to small, less than 40% due to were the stone is located).
So I'm back to the doctor were it all started. If he can not pull it out (last time he couldn't due to too much scar tissue from the one I had removed in 99), he will cut it out, which is major surgery.
SO, PLEASE pray that he will be able to pull them out tomorrow, and if he can't I will recover quickly since I only have 3 or 4 weeks left on medical leave with school. Would hate to kicked out with less than a half a year left. But he does cut me open, I will not be able to drive for 4 weeks (and I have an 1hr 20min drive one way to school each day).
I hated to do it, but I pressed decimation suite against first doctor, with the tencare insurance board, but that will not help me with this, maybe will help someone down the line.
Also keep my family in prayer, since I maybe laid up for a few weeks. Tammy works and we have the 3 kids (which are doing good), but I is hard for her.
So I would ask that you pray for me that the outpatient goes good, and I do not have to spend 3 or 4 days in the hospital and even a longer time out of school.
Thanks-ERIC

Thank you!! I sure missed being here, that's for sure! I just pray for you! I have 3 kids too and it was hard to be away from them, but they did have fun when they would visit the hospital.

Eric,
Hope you come through it quickly. I know that stones can be a real problem. My father-in-law gets one right after the other. One thing for sure, you will never feel better than right AFTER you pass the darn thing! Get better quickly.

Hey everyone, it the day after the Kidney stone/hospital. I STILL have the stone. The could not get it out, and the doctor said he just couldn't cut me open when there are still other options open. Cutting me open would have been major surgery with a long recoup time. I have school to start back to here in a couple of weeks. So he has set up an appointment for me Wed. in Nashville with a doctor who can do laser and lip. So maybe a week after seeing this doctor I can get it out. Please pray that this comes to an end soon.

Good luck to you Eric. My friend has had them too and I know they are no picnic! And the damn medical field and their various insurance requirements don't exactly make it easy, do they?
Of course you'll be on our minds and in our prayers!

Good evening everyone, been in Nashville past couple days, trying to get this stone out. Was suppose to be done today, but since I'm seeing a out of network, there was a hold up. So Got to be back at 6 am (with a 3 hr drive) to have to stone cut by laser. So keep me in prayers for safe drive, stone is removed, and our baby sitter doesn't fall thru, which is a possibility-ERIC

You could take in your Grand Illusion and Pieces Of Eight albums and play them while the procedure is taking place ....
You know what they say about Styx and Stones ....
Good luck

Got back just a little while ago. A wasted trip. Got down there, insurance had approved everything, but the hospital had not. Since it was an out of network hospital (they all are in Nashville area, but that is the only place that does laser), the hospital has to write a n contract with the insurance company, which tales about 3 to 4 days. Hospital said I could still go with the operation, but I would be responsible for the bill, if insurance didn't pay (which without a contract could happen). So I'm back home waiting..........-ERIC

Just want to say thanks for all of you who prayed and had well wishes for me, so THANKS. Spent the last 2 and half days in Nashville hospital, getting my stone removed. No cutting was done, so that was a blessing. Have to lay in bed the nest couple of days, and have the stint removed Sunday (I have to do this

myself) But I get to go back to school Monday

. Thanks again-ERIC
