My wife says that I am wrong. She says that they sang another hit song from another Rocky movie.

She said the song is titled 'Living In America'


My kids both want to know who in the hell is Survivor???

actually, you're both wrong. they wrote/sang Eye of the Tiger. i *think* it was from Rocky 3. James Brown sang Living In America. Your guess is as good as mine as to who did Gonna Fly Now, but a quick visit to allmusic.com should solve that mystery.

actually, you're both wrong. they wrote/sang Eye of the Tiger. i *think* it was from Rocky 3. James Brown sang Living In America. Your guess is as good as mine as to who did Gonna Fly Now, but a quick visit to allmusic.com should solve that mystery.

They did Eye of the Tiger for Rocky 3 and they also did Burning Heart for Rocky 4 which is a much better song in my opinion! Nice to "see" you again Stmonkeys

good to "see" you too! how are the redwings doing? my islanders got knocked out last week, but not without a valiant effort! Next year will be better! as long as the rangers lose, what do i care....

Bill Conti did Gonna Fly Now for Rocky and had the hit with it in early 1977. Maynard Ferguson also had a hit with that same song a bit later in 1977.

The Wings knocked out the Flames in 6. They start the 2nd round tonight against the Sharks. Yeah I saw your Islanders go down. Sorry about that. I usually pull for all of the original 6 teams, but seeing how Shanahan left us for the Rangers I'm rooting against them too. Shanny always seems to disappear in the playoffs anyway.
