Froy, JY and Tommy are paying me $25 bucks a week (plus a free iTunes download) to write pro-Styx propaganda on this site. I've been doing it for a few months now, and I almost have enough dough saved up to show my 77-year-old neighbor, Mabel, a good time. In actuality, I am deeply offended that the guys dared to attempt to carry on the Styx legacy without Dennis...lord knows that Dennis put his heart and soul into making Styx work, and the Panozzo brothers, JY, Tommy, and especially Gowan should be eating out of dumpsters...it's what they deserve! No-one could possibly enjoy a Dennis-less Styx show!

Been to Cardiff and Bournemouth so far (and Birmingham tomorrow). Lizzy were a nice warm up - weird seeing Tommy Aldridge drumming for an opening act though. Purple are fine, certainly better than the last few tours. Keeping their set down to 90 mins has cut out a lot of the extended jamming that often dropped the pace in earlier shows. Watched them all in Cardiff, left half way through their set in Bournemouth - imagine I will leave before they even hit the stage tomorrow.

Now to Styx - if there is a better live band than Styx touring the world at the moment I have yet to see them. Just the right blend of great visuals, fun, top music & showmanship. They seem to be going down so well too - even with people who don't know their music. Hope this tour will convince a promoter to book them to play the UK as a headline act again very soon.

One of many positive reviews from UK.

Despite what you may think, Styx in its current incarnation is a good live band. Is it what everyone wants here? No. Your reaction is evident of that. But it doesn't make them any less entertaining to those who enjoy 'em.

I thought Styx was the best live band around until I saw Toto live for the first time. Toto would blow Styx away in a live performance trust me.

Froy your opinion of a Styx concert carries about as much weight as me trying to review DDY’s new CD. I’ve never heard it!!! You’ve never seen them!!!
