A Love Foretold..

Does anyone have a copy of this song? I'm currently in the mood to put a "comp" CDR together of Dennis's songs from 99 on (because it sounds like his solo band played on those tracks during the BNW sessions) and would like to have all of them on one disk. It should make up 10-12 songs:

1. To Miss Somebody
2. Fallen Angel
3. Hello God
4. Great Expectations
5. My God
6. Hip Hop
7. Goodnight My love
8. While There's Still Time
9. A Love Foretold
10. 100 Years From Now (French Version)
11. Goodbye Roseland
12. Grand Illusion (w/Symphony)

Now I'm really good at creating a "flow" on a CD.. I think I have a pretty good mix here, but just wondering what some of you DDY diehards would put on there.. Or if there was anything else i'm missing?

Oops, LOL. I didn't read your post properly. I was thinking ANY DDY music, but I see from 99 on.

Love the inclusion of To Miss Somebody. That is a great song. I would lead off with that as well.

I am not a fan of A Love Foretold, so it would not make that list.

I really like It Takes Love, so might include that in my list.

Thanks Bugsy, but I really wanted stuff that Dennis did without Tommy, JY etc.

From the sounds of it, Chuck, Tommy and JY did not play on those tracks like While There's Still Time, Great Expectations, Fallen Angel, Goodbye To Roseland and of course who could forget Froy's fav song.. Hip Hop! :P

I can hear Tommy's voice in "It Takes Love" etc but don't really hear that on the BNW sessions.

Doh! I knew there was one song I was missing!

Maybe I'll put that in place of Hip Hop..

Good rocker to place in the middle of the list!

You are right. It Takes Love does have the others participating as far as I can tell.

Good suggestion, Yogi! :D

Hm, sounds like "While There's Still Time," if none of the others, still has at least some Tommy on it. I think the guitar is him, and he has some definate vocals, most obvious in the trade-off bridge.

However, if anyone needs Love Foretold, message me... I think I can help you. :)

On "Great Expectations", I think Tommy's voice is clear on the high harmony part on "Did you think that your ambition could ever end up in remission . . ." That's perhaps one of the few parts he is clearly on. And on "While There's Still Time" he does a call-and response answer thing to Dennis on "If I should go . . ." so he's there, but intermittently. I would not be surprised if Tommy overdubbed those onto Dennis' existing songs in post.

Don't forget the "While There's Still Time" dates back well before BNW ... some date it back to the son of Edge sessions and supposedly Glen was wiped for Tommy on the 1996 version which was recalled. I am pretty sure, however Glen was definitely wiped from "It Takes Love" for TS' vox. "It Takes Love" is from son of Edge. The 1999 version of WTST is basically the 1996 version with some keyboard things added.
