..what would it be?
We discussed it on the Midnight Ride thread about having JY retire Miss America and replace it with Midnight Ride. If you could change any songs in the set and put something better in there, what would it be??
Im in favor of Midnight Ride but maybe replacing Snowblind with it.

Anything, or any
one thing?
If it's the former, I'd be up for a complete revamp. If it's the latter, lose "Lady" and add "Best Thing."
In either case, I'd also make the show longer.

Hmmm, drop Lady and put Best Thing in there, that'd be different.
I have heard from several that 22 Years would sound good, i'd be in favor of that. I say they go ahead and drop I am the Walrus and throw in Queen of Spades. I know they play that every once in awhile but it would be nice to have it stick this time. I would like more Borrowed Time also, maybe hear Tommy sing it.

I would add these are the times from Cyclorama in the set somewhere.

I forgot, maybe Born For Adventure!

Assuming it would be around a 90 minute set, I would take out:
Blue Collar Man
Lady
Grand Illusion
TMTOMH
and replace them with:
Summer in the City or One Way Out
Shooz
Everything is Cool
Born for Adventure
If I'm really fantasizing here, I'd throw in:
Just Get Through This Night (the audience would be asleep, but I'd be in heaven)
Love in the Midnight
Great White Hope
Half-Penny, Two Penny
You Better Ask
Gowan's Lost Brotherhood
Dear John
Put Me On
Man in the Wilderness
Why Me
Cold War (I know most people hate it, but I love it)
Just Be (ditto what I just said)

Not me. I'd be wide awake with you. I've always found it ironic that Tommy (among others) dislike "Kilroy" so much, yet in my opinion not only is Tommy's work better than the other two on that album, I've always thought this was Tommy's strongest contribution ever to a Styx album. I know I'm in the minority here, and yes, I like his work on other albums - but I love all 3 of his songs on Kilroy.

I like all 3 of his Kilroy songs too. JGTTN is some of the best vocals he ever did. And he is one of the greatest singers ever! But I would have to say my favorites from him are
Love in the Midnight, Fooling Yourself, Renegade, Man in the Wilderness, and Crystal Ball.
Those songs are all incredible.
I wish Love in the Midnite would have gotten Rock Station airplay. Casual fans have never heard it, and whenever I play it for them they are Blown away. The vocals in that song are so good, that sometimes I think they were just showing off when they recorded that song!!

I can totally do without
Lady, Miss America, Walrus and Lorelei (although they seem to have droped this one thank God)
I would love to hear
1/2 Penny 2 Penny, Man in the Wilderness, Shooz, Love in the Midnight Haven't we been here before and Cold War
Denise

Im very glad a few people have thrown in Cold War, i actually like that one.
I would love for them to throw Everything is Cool, Cold War, Shooz, Man in the Wilderness, and MIdnight Ride in there all the time. i would like for them to drop Miss America, Snowblind, Walrus, and maybe Lorelei. Don't get me wrong, i love Lorelei and i know JY co-wrote it but Dennis makes the song what it is.

HATE COLD WAR...is dribble and a poor sequel to TMTOMH
Agree with you on HWBHB and JGTTN - awesome songs.

Who's kidding? Gowan should be sent packing back to the club circuit from whence he came. Bring back DDY and do a real tour, Stynx.

Easy change Gowan for Dennis
Then the setlist is 1000 times better,

There's a version of
Man Of Miracles which contains this song? Where can I find it?

No thanks, it's bad enough that there are 10 old standards they won't give up and have to play every night. Increasing that number to 15 or so would be even less desirable.

Keep Midnight Ride! Add Borrowed Time, Everything Is Cool, Lights, Half-Penny Two-Penny, I'm OK, Put Me On, Crystal Ball w/extra verse, Man In The Wilderness, and even though I can't stand the song, break down and play Roboto occasionally, because I really think many want to hear it. Keep Come Sail Away, Fooling Yourself, Grand Illusion, Blue Collar Man, Renegade. Throw in a couple songs each from Cyclorama and Big Bang Theory, but switch it up nightly.

You named everything that i want!!
Lights would be awesome to hear again, i heard it from the Perspectives boot and it sounded great. Im OK would be awesome and its one of my all time favorites. Put Me On would be great too! I guess that would get rid of the medley if that was in there, and during Dennis' part on Put Me On, let Tommy sing it and lets see how that goes!
Like or not, Roboto would be cool every once in awhile. I would be in favor of a Kilroy Medley.

I have heard One with Everything once at a concert, do they just throw it in at certain shows or something? I think it would be awesome somewhere in the set!
