That's bullshit, dude. I hope you get kicked off the board. It's hard enough to make money as a performer nowadays without assholes like you taking money out of people's pockets.

umm, they are bootlegs. Unreleased, low quality productions in most cases. If they had been released by a label that is a different story. No one is going to buy them with the belief that they are going to replace the original releases.

You are telling me that you don't copy your cd's on your computer, have never taped a record, cassette, or cd, have never bought a used cd, downloaded a song or received a song from a friend via the internet, copied software, visited youtube, bought promo cd's etc etc etc....

If you have, then you can't blame him for selling them.

I have most of those and then some. Some I've bought, others I have been given. I have also purchased all the officially released stuff to date. So I guess I contribute to the bullshit.

It's different trading boots. Making money off of them is wrong. If he posted that on eBay it would be removed.

Exactly. And no, as a guy who has struggled for 15 years to try to make a living in the music industry, I purchase EVERY TRACK I have. The only time I will allow for trades is for material that is OUT OF PRINT and no longer in circulation. I have NEVER made a penny trading boots or copying out of print music. NIG is right...there is a huge difference.

Not if they were labeled as "imports." ;)

Pragmatically, it's not like the band is losing profit on a record they never put out ...but that said, I'm also opposed to ROIO profiteering on principle, especially in the mp3 age where trading/sharing is so incredibly easy.

Also, I see OWE included in that list. $50 for a rip of a $15 commercial release? WTF?

What size and color are your Styx boots?? Are they leather???

You have Styx boots from Japan awesome!!!!!

I have two big ass Styx belt buckles that I won at the Minnesota State Fair back in the day.

I have been looking for some grey Styx boots to go with one of them

50 bucks for boots seems fair to me!!!

Wow dude.. too bad you didn't contact me before you bought those shows. I pretty much have everything you have in my collection via trade. I would have traded them no questions.

If you got them off of ebay, I have an idea who you bought them off of (Big time Bootlegger from Montreal was selling most of the shows you mentioned for $30-50 USD) and got away with it on Ebay big time.

Good luck trying to sell them.

Just asking, but... if it's okay with you to trade for music that is out of print and/or not in circulation... isn't it safe to say a bootleg never WAS in print, and it is NOT in circulation, and thus, should be all right to trade? (I'm not defending selling for fifty bucks a pop, just trade...)

Real silver, fully pressed boots have value IMO

CD-Rs are harder to ascertain "value", but there are professionally made boots on CD-R from Japan that haven't circulated much. I have some and you'll eventually see them in the overhaul I'm doing for the site.

It is true most of these shows are circulated by now, so unless it's a real silver (not silver CD-R), it's not really worth all that much from a collectibility standpoint.
