I'm listening to it now. Will post after I've listened to it in it's entirety.

But the other guitarist's name (other than Tommy and Stephane) is Ernie Denov.

My initial impressions of the songs I had not already heard (this is MY OPINION ONLY):

Fav Rockers: Rain and Crossing the Rubicon

Song that CRACKED ME UP: I Don't Believe in Anything - I'm still giggling.

Lyrics That Reached Out and Smacked Me Upside The Head And Talked To Me: Forgiveness

Fav Ballad: Save Me

God, can that man write lyrics ..... Wow.

Crossing the Rubicon has been getting some positive buzz here and there.

Looking forward to hearing it.

I only heard the 30 second clips! I probably won't get my CD in the mail for several weeks!

Doe anyone know if the American version is going to have the same songs? Is the only difference going to be 100 years from now being all English?

Was forgiveness a song towards his former freinds and bandmates as it was rumored?

Ordered mine from his website, so hoping to have it in the next 5 to 10 days.

I won mine from ebay after deciding to cancel my order from both amazons (U.S and Canada) because it was cheaper.

Im excited as hell, from the sound clips, it sounds like one of the best solo efforts ever from Dennis

I just listened to the songs. They are good songs, with good harmonies and excellent electric guitar work. But, Dennis detractors are not going to like it and Dennis supporters will. This CD won’t solve the great divide but it does give us some good music. A lot of the songs, while not ballads, are on the softer side of the rock spectrum and the Dennis detractors won’t like that. This Time Next year is the clear winner for me. That said, I need to listen to them again to form a conclusive opinion.

Dennis said that the album will be similar to Equinox in style. Do you hear this in this album, or does it sound more like "Boomchild" or "Desert Moon"?

I have always enjoyed Dennis's music(Babe and all, even hunchback) and it didn't matter if it was a ballad or a rocker. All I want out of this cd from him is good quality music, and it sounds like from the clips and the reviews that he has done it, again.

I ordered through Dennis' web site.... I tried to get it through Canadian iTunes, but it won't let me buy there I hate that! I'm really looking forward to hearing it. The sound clips sound encouraging!

Crossing The Rubicon is metaphoric. It's similar to saying "The Point of No Return". From what I understand, this is the only song on the album which may be written in metaphor toward the situation with Styx.

The Rubicon is a river in italy. The similarities between the Rubicon being a river and Styx being a river (albeit in somewhat different, yet similar supernatural references) isn't accidental.

I believe this title was abandoned as it may have seemed too controversial and intentionally geared toward jabbing at DFB. From what I understand, Dennis didn't really want to distract from the new album with a side show regarding which songs were about Styx and which were not... which is precisely what happened with Cyclorama in many circles.

In a "tooting my own horn" moment - I somewhat accurately predicted the true title of this album several months ago when people were talking about it in one of those "what should dennis call his album" threads. My thought was that it would be "100 years from now" in terms of people would remember Dennis music 100 years from now and not JY's. (back in my more assertive days on this board)

I figured it was the label's idea to change it to the single release to gain more momentum in Quebec. Possible?
