Why did Dennis choose to do the different releases at different times ( Canada & US)?? Didn't this REALLY hurt Journey with Arrival??

Is there some advantage for Dennis doing it this way???

Dennis is really popular in the province of Quebec. His Canadian label sold lots of the symphony show (both CD and DVD) and probably believed he could chart in Canada with a new CD (hence the reason for the duet). My guess (and its purely a guess) is that DDY had about 15 songs he wanted to record but the label wanted to get it out the door to capitalize on summer touring season. So, he recorded 11 and released it early.

I miss Suite, too, but her life has taken a very busy turn. Hope she pops in to say "hi" soon, though.

As to the release of this CD. It is, essentially, a Canadian release. The company, DEP, really wanted it from him, and it looks like the right choice was made.

I sure don't harbor any illusions that this album will be a huge success in the US. I hope I am wrong, but I don't see it unless some promotional opportunities come his way. It is an album worthy of some recognition, but I don't think he will get it here.

I've been pretty busy and of course in and out of the hospital - UGH!!! Thank goodness it's not ALL with me this time. I've been helping a couple people get through really rough times, they're doing better. I'm coaching a few of my kids baseball teams, volunteering at camps (LOL), going to all the concerts that I can go to, filming and just enjoying the hot summer days and nights at the beach. The Canadian record company was very excited with Dennis' new music and wanted it out there as soon as possible. I think it was first suppose to be released in early Spring this year and then changes of the songs kept being made.

They don't want to release the cd in the summer, not a good time to have any new releases. That's why it's going to be released in the Fall in the U.S., right before the holidays which should be good timing, hopefully with some more of Dennis "events".
