I was wondering if anyone knows what the set was from the Cyclorama tour. And if possible, a bootleg of a concert. I am just curious because i remember a performance of Kiss Your Ass Goodbye from the 21st Century Live DVD and i would like to know what else they did.

Yes...Yes it does.

There was no "Cyclorama Tour" as such, what with the never leaving the road and whatnot, but they started playing tunes from that record in the Spring of 2003, and kept 4 songs in the set for most of that year.

Originally, it was Waiting For Our Time, Fields Of The Brave, Kiss Your Ass Goodbye and These Are The Times, though the first two were eventually replaced by One With Everything and More Love For The Money. I think they may also have played Bourgeois Pig and Captain America on at least one occasion each.

Allan (StyxCollector) would be the go-to guy on this for finer details and possible recordings.

I saw the Cyclorama set 3 times. Twice with REO and once with Journey & REO(Main Event) They played the standards plus Kiss Your Ass Goodbye all three times( Glen came out from the audience in all three shows). These Are The Times ( all threee shows) Waiting For Our Time ( One Time - Main Event) One with Everything (Twice REO only shows) Fields of the Brave( Twice - once with REO only, the other time with REO & Journey) More Love For The Money( once REO only show-Laredo,Tx).

The Main Event show they COMPLETELY blew Journey off the stage. They were also much better than REO. REO though was also better than Journey that night. Journey didnt even appear to want to be there( St. Paul). Styx was on FIRE during their Main event tour. They were also AWESOME when they first came out in 1999 minus Dennis. I saw them at the Far West Rodeo in San Antonio. They played for 2 hours & 45 minutes and they were on a mission. One of the BEST concerts I have ever been to.

From EVERYTHING that I read now, and looking at their current set list It sure seems to me that it is only about money. They appear to be slipping dangerously close into lounge act territory.

I remember reading that Todd didnt even like the 75 minute sets. He said something like he was just getting warmed up when they had to leave the stage. How in the hell (other than money) can he justify playing a 40 minute set?????

They currently are toaster material.

So now the setlist has gone from 25 minutes to 35 minutes to 40 minutes? What is it?

When they are with Foreigner they do about 50-55 minutes.

Sounds like when Styx opens solely for Def they get about 75, but it sounds like they got 90 in Montreal, so I'm hoping they are allowed to do the 90 minute sets in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon as well.

Also I do recall Tommy saying they are "co-headlining" a few shows with Def Leppard in Canada.

The Cyclorama tour is the last one they really did a few Evening With Styx shows for the most part. By the end, it was the Main Event tour which had the hits and a few selected Cyclorama tunes. KYAG was played at most shows. I remember OWE being in nearly every set, too. On the Main Event tour, it was then one Gowan tune and one JY tune, and they usually swapped. TATT was definitely. WFOT was played early on, but dropped - I think stabbim is correct there.

I interviewed JY before the concert and we filmed part of that concert. He talked about the song "Captain America" and the inspiration behind him writing it. It's a Peter Fonda story and very interesting. He was very excited that he was going to be playing the song live that night at the 100 year anniversary of Harley Davidson. JY was very positive about Dennis and very excited when he talked about recording The Grand Illusion as a band. It was the best interview that I've ever seen/heard by JY

If there's somehow to cut myself (ACK!) out of it, I'd put it up on You Tube.

Actually Suite, that was the date, not Sturgis. I knew they played it for the Harley show, thought it was Sturgis. I stand corrected.

It's only been 4 years (LOL). I still need to transfer all those VHS tapes to DVD. You know, I never even saw all the tapes yet. I know there's a lot of footage at some of the biker parties

They played Capatin America at Harley Fest in Milwaukee. They did it because Peter Fonda was present.

I also heard they might have played Yes I Can at one or 2 of the last shows with Glen. I heard they played it at Todd's wedding too. But I guess that doesn't count.

During the Main Event they played Kiss Your Ass Goodbye and Waiting For Our Time and they swapped out Fields of the Brave and These Are The Times every other show.

That's cool, Suite, that they played Captain America and you got to see them. That's one of my faves from Cyclorama. Captain America was the nickname of Peter Fonda's character, Wyatt, in Easy Rider.

JY explained in the interview that when Styx was in NYC some years ago, Peter's car was out in front and it painted red, white and blue or something like that and that's where the song came from.

This is EXACTLY what happened on that tour, but in Phoenix. Journey was just....there.

Styx played "Waiting", "Money", "Goodbye" and "Times". I bought Cyclorama the next day.
