Return to Paradise

This was brought up before but really... what kind of knucklehead fades each track on a live album?

Never in my life have I seen that done on a "proper" live album.

Pathetic.

Dennis produced it. Likely so that the songs on the album could be arranged in a different order than they were played in the concert. Also good if the takes were done from different nights.

But it's not hard to splice crowd noise together... it's probably the easiest thing you can do... bands have been doing it forever and adding fake crowd noise to live recordings since the beginning of time.

I'm sure I could make my own copy in Goldwave and get rid of the fades pretty convincingly.

I agree, i don't like the fading. I wish it was a little like Caught in the Act where it was all connected although i could tell they were recorded at different places.

Mark me down as one who cannot stand all that audience screaming, so the more cut out the better for me. I know it defeats the purpose of a "live" recording, but it grates on me to hear it.

So the fade is fine with me.

The CD is the same old Rosemont show as the video -- no fades there.

It is a bit strange.

Yep, that's one of my pet-protests as well. That and the fact that the whole show wasn't included (It was a double CD for gosh-sakes - fill the space up! I want "Little Suzie!").

The Goldwave suggestion works well - However I just recorded a CD from the DVD and it was easier - plus it included Tommy's nice little acoustic piece as well as the complete "Renegade".

Good idea, I'll just extract the DVD audio.... I've done that before.

I wonder if it's PCM or compressed AC3... I'll have to dig it out and look.

And "Lights" which they also did on that tour would of been nice on the cd and video.
