Again, yet another reason why Dennis doesn't need those other guys...

Thank God. He is finally going to concentrate on what he is good at. I am very happy to hear this.

Oh yay. More side tracking for Dennis...
Geez man, get back to making ROCK records.

He's FINALLY got some momentum with his new album, now he'll lock himself up away again doing this stuff.

I agree with Chicago...DDY should stick to what he does best and this is it. Leave the touring and band thing to those who want to do it.

The last (only) time that I was ever to Chicago was back in 1985. We may plan our next years summer vacation around seeing this sometime in late June.

How do you know Froy? Just because he's not in it doesn't mean he's going to give 100% effort into helping it be successful..

Honestly, I'm glad it's getting a 2nd life, but will this affect his album and all the work he's putting into it when it gets released state side?

I personally think Dennis can handle all of this. Remember, his album is released this fall in the US, so he has plenty of time to promote it. He worked on it between many concerts and appearances, so I am sure he can rework Hunchback to fit with the Bailiwick production while he is still touring. The hard work -- writing the songs, lyrics and book -- are already done.

It is interesting. He is headlining his concert dates. Not an opening act. Bringing in good sized crowds, sell-outs in some places. His album is going great guns in Canada. I think he likes touring because it sure is paying off for him. This will just be something else to put on the resume, so-to-speak.

DDY has been talking about reviving this for years, so no matter what was going on with teh rock band, he was keen to do this. GIven the dates of the shows I don't think he'll be around much for the run since it's mostly weekends and he tours (plus, the summer is prime touring season), but I'm sure he'll be around for some of them.

Since the album is due in the USA in the fall of '07, I doubt it will impact anything.
