Chuck: I don’t think Tommy was afraid of it. JY asked me to turn the book over to our attorneys. I told him, "Absolutely not. When you write your book you can have as many attorneys as you want read it." I think there was a contractual agreement with Dennis that there were certain things I could not mention. I didn’t say anything about Dennis that didn’t come from a newspaper. If I made up stories I would deserve to be in court but if it is public record then it is just me being honest. It is counterproductive for me to say I hate so and so and I think they are a jerk.

Chuck: I think the fans can be absurd. I have been on the blogs and I just shudder. It was nine years ago. My life goes on.

His life goes on, but yet he takes shots at Dennis saying he'd like to have his body guards there if Tim Orchard wanted to talk to him. Yeah, that sounds like life moving on to me.

Yeah, he was being TOTALLY serious about needing a body guard. Just like he was when he said all people who wear tight pants and bleach their hair are gay!

Fans on the "blogs" (aka this forum) react to his interviews in the press. That is why they discuss it 9 years later. They don't make stuff up out of thin air. His life may have gone on and he may be over it but the fans are not absurd for talking about his quotes on Dennis that have been in the press over the last few months.

Of course, we should not let this one quote dominate what is otherwise a good interview.

I think he meant fans were absurd for obsessing over Dennis being gone in general, but I do agree that we shouldn't let one quote dominate the rest of the interview.
