I almost bought the bootleg one too off of Ebay, but I kept reading on StyxCollector that the dvd was going to be released - LOL

I have the VHS copy and it's fun to watch when I'm in one of those crazy moods - LOL

Interesting on a couple of accounts.
1. I thought DDY didn't have much say on back catalog releases. Adds some interesting back stories to the plot (add another question for my never going to happen interview with DDY).
2. The DVD was done a few years back but pulled from the schedule with no reason given.
3. The evidence of #2 is right on the 20th Century Masters DVD since one song is clearly from CITA.
4. Could this mean that possibly Uni will loosen up and release some new Styx product the fans want like remasters?
I will check with my contacts at Uni to see if I can get more info. Thanks for the heads up, Suite.

Anyone know if there will be any special freatures on the DVD?
Thanks

Doubt it. None of the Uni back catalog DVDs have been much more than their original releases with chapter stops.

Answer: I doubt that will happen although it should. Heck, even goofball Tom Scholz of Boston got around to remastering their first two albums. I have a feeling that JY will once again be the stick in the eye for this one: any remasters being released will only give more attention to DDY and show how much he meant to the band.
Of course, if JY could re-release the Styx albums with all references to DDY edited out, that would be fine with him. Maybe he can Photoshop DDY's large face off of the PO8 cover and replace it with one of those Easter Island heads.

Yeah, all the KWH vids would make for some fun bonus features. Unlikely of course, but still...

The existing Styx CD catalog actually sounds quite good comparatively and if the remasters are done the way most are these days... no thanks.

The hits compilations may be louder, but they are NOT brickwalled nor excessively bright.
The only A&M Styx CDs that sound good are PT, KWH, GI, and Cornerstone - the original four. Equinox, CB, Po8, and CITA are bad. EOTC only had one mastering. The 2 on 1 of Equinox/CB I'm told wasn't from the masters, so it's just a re-EQ.
So at least 1/2 of the Styx catalog needs it, and if it sounds like the Anthology or Complete Wooden Nickel Collection, I'd be happy.

That would be my interview with Bob Ludwig - I specifically asked that question.
