Yea. I second that. I have wanted to get a taste of the earlier years with Gowan. I know they were a little more experimental then (whether successful or not) with the Dennis songs they did.

i put a few new clips up on youtube of live shows between 2000-2003. You can search for "stmonkeys" and check them out. Also, "styxtoury" put some great clips up from a montreal special they did, as well as the rock to the rescue show in NJ. Check them out as well! :D

Early Gowan is fun. I found the video of him when he first joined Styx and it was on some canadian network and he did Come Sail Away and stuff like that.

Yup, I've got the show. But it is on cassette. It will take some time. But I can convert it.

It was a great show. I know the guy that taped it. It is a pretty good recording too. They played a lot of stuff that night. I think the show was about 2 hours, 40 minutes.

Sorry, it is audio cassette. Remember those? The guy recorded it on DAT and ran off a copy on cassette for me.

They were nuts at that show. I have never seen so many people running around on stage as much as they were. They were obviously pumped to be out there.

If it's the same show/time period as "Bluesville," this is the likely set list:

Everything Is Cool
Grand Illusion
Blue Collar Man
Lorelei
Man In The Wilderness
Lady
Edge Of The Century
Snowblind
Fooling Yourself
Queen Of Spades
Half-Penny Two-Penny
Boat On The River (acoustic)
Lights (acoustic)
Best Of Times (acoustic)
Rockin' The Paradise
Witness
Heavy Water
Crystal Ball
Too Much Time On My Hands
Miss America
Come Sail Away
Renegade

See, their are songs on there that Styx should add to their set now!! I mean really, a full version and not acoustic version of Man in the Wilderness, Queen of Spades would be great and so would Half Penny Two Penny. Lights acoustic would be just...wow.

"Now wait a cotton pickin minute here. Styx came to rock this joint and they aren't through yet!" - T. Shaw

Can't do Boat on the River and Lights! Those songs are off that crappy Cornerstone album that didn't rock at all, man! I thought Styx was forgetting everything past 1978. But I guess its different when it's a Tommy Shaw ballad...

(And don't get me started on them doing Best of Times - another crappy ballad).
