Classic Rock Mag have put out an edition solely dedicated to prog rock.
They had a top 30 prog albums and TGI was on spot 14.
Well done .

Grand Illusion is my least favorite Styx album (with the exception of Foolin' Yourself and Superstars). Peices of Eight is their best. None are better than Girls With Guns.

I'm on record as GWG as my favorite Tommy album - although Ambition is a much better album arguably. I just have a soft spot for GWG. Having said that, comparing it to Po8 or GI is insane. Not even in the same league.

Agreed.
The Grand Illusion is a masterpiece. And Superstars and Fooling yourself as your favorites? Those might be the two i listen to the least out of any Styx song.

But hey, i loved Girls with Guns.

Well,I myself don't listen to TGI myself,since I am just so tired of and bored with it.
Thought it was nice they got voted on the list though.

There are only three Styx albums I never tire of listening to: GI, Po8, and PT. Yes, they contain most of the hits, but that doesn't matter to me. There's so much other rich material besides the "hits" on those albums. All of the other albums go in and out in phases for me.

I would add Equinox to that list, Allan. I do listen to all 4 of those albums a lot, although I prefer Equinox and PO8.
