hey!!!! thank you!!!! i'll just add that to the mucho amounts of glen i had this weekend! :D

i have to put all my thoughts/pictures/vids together... but man o man!!!!!!!! what a weekend. i've definitely crossed over the line by standing in the rain for 3 hours yesterday to see glen. (yes, there were a few other deranged folks, none of which are insane enough to visit this board here, though)

suffice to say, it was worth it. stick around, more to come

Montreal Saturday evening, somewhere else near you Sunday evening. This man gets around!

On Saturday, he was pacing the stage like a caged tiger. It was funny watching him, he was all over the place!

he spent the whole week rehearsing for Friday night's Beatles show at the state theatre in new brunswick (which was mind-blowing!!!!!), flew to montreal on saturday, played with ddy sat night, flew home sunday, drove to asbury park and played a 40 minute set in the rain sun afternoon.

so yeah, he was just a bit busy. glad you had a fun time! he was much more subdued on sun. i need to catch him with DDY so i can see him in "prowl" mode.

Prowl is exactly the right word. I don't know how many cans of Red Bull that boy had Saturday but watching him was like watching a tennis match!

Oh, and you're not the only one who has stood in the rain to watch a concert. Apparently we don't know enough to come out of the rain!!

Montgolfieres - Internation Balloon Festival http://www.ballooncanada.com/en/index.asp

seems there were other attractions other than Dennis...

Not taking away from Dennis, but to say they were there for Dennis is a bit of a stretch....

Well yeah, there was Etienne Drapeau (Quebec artist) who was the opening act, many teenyboppers there for him, then there were those that came to see Eric, and there were those who came to see the balloons take off after sundown (very pretty). There were many families there as well - the age range was much larger than what you see at a usual DDY concert. I had an 8 year old standing next to me - well behaved too, not one whine out of him even at 11:00 p.m.!

But I would say most were there for DDY. The crowd was just crazy!

I'm a *really* bad person to ask because I absolutely suck at estimating this kind of thing. BUT - I was in the very front and if I stood on my tiptoes and looked over most people's heads, I couldn't see the back edge of the crowd. (And no, I'm not blind, I see 20/20) :-) There were definately more people than I've ever seen at a DDY concert though.

I think it will be hard to get the exact number of people attending that festival, but I heard approximately 30,000 for the music of Dennis DeYoung with Eric. Oh hell, let's just say, 30,226 :wink:

You're probably referring to the Jazzfest. It's free and fairly large.
