So what was the big announcement?

Postby Everett » Sat Sep 08, 2007 10:11 am

I received a bulletin on my myspace from reo yesterday saying that kevin was going to make a "very exciting announcement today on chicago's wlup. I joked around and said it was going to be there retirement but of course if that were the case that would not be exciting. So did anyone catch this? What was the big announcement?

Hopefully that they would bring Richrath back into the band and get some real rocking songwriting back in the band.

I got an email from WLUP today saying this:

"REO will be "Ridin' The River Out" on the "REO Speedboat" Wednesday, September 12th beginning at 8am! Yes, that's right! REO Speedwagon will perform on top of the Shoreline Sightseeing Vessel, Star of Chicago, as it travels up the Chicago River!
On your way to work? Need a little "Roll With The Changes" to help you over your hump-day? Come to the South Drive of the Merchandise Mart for a special REO Speedwagon performance including thier monster rock songs and a couple from their new release "Find your own way home" beginning at 8am! Johnny B will be broadcasting live from the grandstands where the view is the best to catch your favorite REO songs!

While you may be able to see the "REO Speedboat" from other places, safety is important, so we encourage you to come to the Merchandise Mart for the best view of the show and to hang out with Johnny B!

You can win a chance to ride on the REO Speedboat! Just listen to Johnny in the morning for chances between now & September 12th! You can also sign up HERE to win VIP seating in the Merchandise Mart Grand Stand overlooking the Chicago River for REO's free performance! "

You can see the ad here: http://www.wlup.com/check_it_out/reo_speedboat.aspx

Is this what you were looking for?

No but thanks anyway on that I noticed that the first time i clicked on the web page. The chances of richrath returning to the band is the same as dennis and as I quote the godfather JY "when we play hockey on the river styx" gotta love that quote. It might of been that but not sure who knows with those guys. I just wish styx would change there set as much as those guys do but what can ya do?
