I've been a member of *many* different online music communities and the Journey community has far more legitimate nut cases than I've witnessed anywhere else.

Seriously, their fanbase is really made up of obsessive compulsive types on a ridiculous level.

Dude, I agree with you on most things you say but I think you are plenty wrong on this. Journey has more angry fans (and with good reason - the band continues to spit in the face of its fanbase). But as far as legitimate nutcases, Styx fans seem to be in a class by themselves. From religious zealotry to people getting in to fights with Glen Burtnik in bathrooms, its a fun bunch to watch.

Having said that - I've been spending more time on the Styx board than the Journey board lately. Journey has just been depressing. Its a lot more fun here. Besides, Dennis has a great new album out so there is more to discuss here!
