Dennis' "Concert of a Lifetime"

First musician on the list, Dennis DeYoung:
"Instant of Impact: The former Styx frontman and guiding light was transformed by a live television appearance in 1964. 'It was the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. It wasn't a live concert. At that moment, I thought I was there and it changed my life. I was in a wedding band. My friend Dave had Beatle boots and the album Meet the Beatles, and I thought it was absolute b.s. It was overhyped. He made me stay to watch them, because on Sunday nights, we went to the Catholic high school dance, which is where I met my wife. But this time, I sat down and watched them sing 'Close your eyes and I'll kiss you ...' That was it. With All My Loving, I looked at that and I went, 'Oh my God! What is that? And how do I apply for that job?' That was it. There was never another doubt in my mind what I wanted in my life."
