so.........what exactly does it really mean anymore to "release a single" ???? Back in my childhood, you'd hear the single on top 40 radio, and go to the store to buy the 45 for 99 cents. It's been a while since I've seen a single in a record store, for that matter I havent set foot in a record store in ages..

does it mean you send a copy of the song to a bunch of radio stations, and hope like hell they play it ?

Just wondering......

Classic.. yep that's pretty much it.

Seeing how Save Me does across Canada will really show if the album has legs up here or not. If it charts outside of Quebec, then the possibility of it charting in the USA goes up that much more.

If the 2nd single tanks, well.. Dennis will still have Quebec.

Well I can tell you that very rarely do you see a real "single" on physical media anymore. If they are available as promos to radio stations, it's generally a CD-R. At this point, it's most likely a computer-based file that the station can download.

Europe still releases commercial CD singles and 45s, but these days you're most likely to have someone download it from some service than go into a store.

Radio hit singles and real singles are no longer synonymous.

Great song, but I assume they expect only AC airplay on this.

You are correct, Jodes. If this one does well with a wider audience, it will certainly put the album in a good place for US release.

Otherwise, hmmmm....what song lends itself to a French translation???

I'm hoping that "Save Me" will be released as the first single here in the US. I'm pretty sure it's going to be played pretty soon on a Milwaukee radio station. :D

I'm also hoping to have the video done for "Save Me" out on You Tube before Christmas. It's just a little project that my film crew and I have been filming.

I love this song!!!!
