Not really a full interview with questions and answers. Mainly some of the same information that has been said many times. Below is one little excert.

Though he never really bought the glam-rock thing, he could see the appeal.
"Styx is really a wacky hybrid," he said. "You've got 'Blue Collar Man' and 'Renegade,' and then you have these wild curveballs like 'Babe' and 'Mr. Roboto.'"
Young added the band no longer plays the latter two.
There's a sheaf of other songs to choose from -- songs that may or may not have reached the dizzying heights of No. 1 ("Babe") and No. 3 ("Mr. Roboto") but nonetheless anchored themselves into the souls of fans who cut their rock 'n' roll teeth in the late '70s and early '80s.

One could argue that Miss America is more of the curveball JY...since it sucks ass so badly.

You know, for once I like his tone here. I wish he would have stuck to this manner for the past 8 years. It comes across as a nice way of saying "A lot of people love those songs - but the recent incarnation is interested in playing other things." I could have respected this.

Too late for that though.

JY, your tired act is not convincing anyone. Referring to some of your biggest hits as "curveballs" is basically taking a dump on your own legacy, since without those songs Styx would still be touring the Midwest and searching for a record deal.

If those songs were such curveballs then, why didn't JY use some integrity and quit the band? Oh never mind, he has none.

So JY is basically saying that the 'real Styx' is seen in songs like 'Blue Collar Man' and 'Renegade' (neither of which he helped to write), while the biggest chart hits were 'curveballs' from 'way out in left field'...

This is akin to Ringo Starr saying that the 'real Beatles' was seen in songs like 'Octopus' Garden' and 'With a Little Help From My Friends' and that 'Hey Jude' and 'A Day in the Life' were complete aberrations. Although maybe that analogy is not fair...Ringo probably contributed more to the Beatles than JY did to Styx!
