Yeah, that is weird, considering that they used to tune
down on almost everything for DLR back in the day. I'd also think "Jump" would be more comfortable guitar-wise in C rather than C#, so I wonder why the change.

Dunno about VH, but yeah, it's getting more widespread. IMO it's pretty astounding, in a sci-fi sort of way, that they can get that sort of thing working in real time now.
Astounding is right . . . and not in a good way either. To borrow a phrase from Dennis, "Bite me you pussies". LOL. I mean, seriously, why would you not just hired a keyboard player instead of playing to a track? Money? Are they that broke? I don't think so. And if you can't sing backing vocals, wait a sec, I just had an idea . . . HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN FUCKING SING, YOU RETARDS! It's bad enough that shitty pop acts routinely pull this, but I can accept that because, well, they're shitty pop acts. But when a band that made its reputation playing live goes out and does it, that really gets to me. And I'm not targeting Van Halen, because I don't know if they do this or not (though it certainly looks like it from this clip), but I've seen it with other major acts that ought to damn well be able to pull it off if they wanted to. Especially here in Nashville . . . from Shania, to Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, and on and on and on, it would actually be shorter to list the artists here who CAN sing than the ones who can't. PATHETIC.
Ahhhh, a rant. Very cleansing!
