I've got my iPod on random, and TOCNN just came on. Since it is in the next room, I was unable to make out the lyrics and only listen to the music. Turns out, it's a pretty good song that way!

Wrong song. :) I love the dobro on "I Don't Believe in Anything", though, as well.

Holy crap, you're right! OK, digin' on the dobro on don't believe in anything. Not as big a fan of the harmonies in the chrs though.

I think this is another song that was just added to his set list. DDY really likes this song a lot :D

With all these new songs being added, he's cutting a few of my favorite live songs - UGH!!! I wanted to here "Pieces of Eight" live again!!

And yet another backhanded "compliment"

What was backhanded about that? Are you saying that she is implying that the lyrics are bad?

I'm not implying anything. I've said before that I don't like the lyrics to that song. So much so that up until the other day, it hindered me from enjoying the song at all. But I found that when the lyrics weren't there to disturb me, I genuinely liked it. That's really not backhanded at all, it's a compliment to the music.

I hear what you are saying and agree. Sometimes lyrics ruin perfectly good songs for me. I was just trying to understand the logic behind the original post calling it a backhanded compliment.
