odd that no one has the actual date of John C.'s death, not even A&M

Looks like it is all PDF files, stuff that is probably available in text form at one of the many fan sites for free.

Yeah, even Wikpedia just says the month and year.

Hi. I am the owner of On A&M Records.com. Thought you would want to know that the site is not owned or operated by A&M or Universal.
The reason I don't show John's death date is because it is only listed as February 1988 in the SSDI. My "Today in A&M Records History" page requires month, day and year.
The artist reports on the site are in PDF format. You can choose the information you want: US discography, international discography, concerts, radio show appearances, TV appearances, artist bibliography, US and international music awards, etc. There is a sample report that gives you an idea of all the information that is available posted. Styx currently has 872 entries--nearly 400 of them are the discography. There is also an extensive photo gallery for Styx.
Sure there's some overlap with other fan sites but I think if you compare information site-to-site, On A&M Records gives you a lot of content, most of it free. I hope you will enjoy the site.

There are things missing from the On A&M Records Styx and solo stuff (esp. on CD) but overall I'd say the information is fairly complete and accurate in the discography stuff. Of course you'll see what's missing when I put my discography in the next month or two (finally coding the searchable database) including pictures.
Although I give On A&M credit for finally verifying the domestic WHat If existed on CD
