My personal favorite song is Twisted Sister's version of "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" (think "We're Not Gonna Take It" with a Christmas twist). As a matter of fact they have a whole album full of Christmas covers that are not half bad

I really love Chicago's Xmas album... America's Holiday Harmony is nice, there's a compilation called A Classic Rock Christmas out there with Survivor, REO, Mark Farner, Eddie Money, Styx etc doing some xmas tunes, The Moody Blues's xmas album has some beautiful, original songs, of course anything Trans-Siberian Orchestra is great, and to get really classic, gotta love those Ventures xmas albums

ELP - "I Believe in Father Christmas"
George Michael - "Last Christmas"
Bowie and Crosby - "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth"
Joni Mitchell - "Wish I Had a River"
The Carpenters - "Merry Christmas, Darling"

(I love the version of "Mary Did You Know" Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd. And Clay Aiken does a gorgeous version of it.)

OK, I strayed a bit from actual rock and roll.

Guitarist Gary Hoey has 3 christmas cds out. All instrumental but he can jam!

Chris Caffery of TSO/Savatage has a good version of What Child is This

Stride has an excellent all instrumental Christmas cd called Bah Humbug. Since they are not too well known - www.strideonline.com and you can download their version of What Child is This

Mccartney is my all time favorite artist... but even I couldn't dig "Wonderful Christmas Time". I personally dug his little song that he did on the Beatles' 68 Christmas Message. He should've fleshed that out.

To be fair, there's a live version of WCT that Wings did in 79 and it was a LOT better than the one issued as a single.

As you were!

Joseph's Lullaby ~ MercyMe

Go to sleep my Son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head

Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Or does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?

Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace

I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
But Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child

Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine
Oh my Jesus, sleep tight

I'm as right wing as you can get, but you give us Republicans a bad name. It is correct to say either Christmas or Holiday depending upon your faith. From Pagan to Christian, to Jew, to Muslim, and several others faiths who Celebrate their Holiday around the same time. Call it what YOU want, but don't knock anyone else's faith at the same time or try and correct them when you are obviously ignorant or just don't give a shit. (btw, giving the benefit of the doubt this time, for arguments sake, ignorant means "Unaware of the facts" not stupidity.

First time I've ever been acused of being a Democrat/liberal in a long time. And for the record, I am a life long conservative/Republican.

It's the Holiday season you ass. There are songs that celebrate all the faiths. Christmas is a day, From now until then is the Christmas/holiday season.

And in case you didn't see it in your quote of mine, you are questioning the word Christmas by using the word Christmas. What a jackass

Time to go back on your meds Rajah.

Heh. Not really one of my faves from him.

Wish he would do a Christmas....something. Play the keys and sing and post them on his website, or ITunes. That voice should be singing some beautiful Christmas music!

I agree. I've been thinking he should do a CD for years now.
