OT: How many hours of music do you listen to per week?

Postby blt man » Thu Nov 29, 2007 2:13 pm

So many of you seem to be music encyclopedias. Makes me wonder how much music you guys (and gals) listen to (both currently and at your peak). How many hours a week do you devote to listening to music? How many do you devote to listening to Styx related music?

As for me, I usually only listen in the car (50/50 split between music and sports). When I am home, I prefer TV.

God! I Never have the damn radio OFF! I'm in love with Satilite Radio station 102.7 Jack FM and listen online where ever I am. If not I'm listienng to my Rush, Styx, Journey or Raspberries CD's I don't watch much television. In fact I sit at my computer most of the time. I'm an internet information freak!

I'd say at least 15 hours out of the day I got music going somewhere between the car, internet, or home theatre system.

About 80 hours.
TV's been too boring lately.

Probably in the neighborhood of 30-40 hours per week. Music is my chlorophyll. Or something.

Not much Styx these days, but Influence sure got a lot of spins this year.

working on computer and watching Tv at home and maybe some music every now and then and most of the time it is Styx, Dennis, REO, Journey, Stan Bush, or Meatloaf and many others.

In the car, I use to listen to pretty much the same music as above until recently I installed a DVD player in my car so now I watch a movie or a concert. (and I thought working on a Blackberry was hard going down the highway  )

At work, I listen to music and may watch the tv if something good is on or if something is happening in the news.

Working/surfing on the computer, between cd's and youtube,
I'd say a minimum of 40 hours/week.

I probably hear music 90% of my hours awake.
At home I got my 5 disc player(shuffle) going, if i don't have the radio on.I-Pod for my walks with the dog or bike rides .
At work they play music all the time (classical and jazz) which I don't mind for a change.

2 to 10 hours at work, depending if I am at the office, at a hospital or clinic, or a run \
and maybe 2 to 3 hours a week at home
so at max a week 73 hours a week
