Couldn't find it in a store down here in Dallas (here for business). So I'm going to have to order it online.

I couldn't find it either in my town but Best Buy has it at most locations according to their website.

YOu can do a local stock search. Nowhere in Dallas last I checked.

Even Newbury Comics back home didn't get it.
So it looks like online is the only way to get it unless you have some cool store near you. I'm thinking places like Amoeba (LA, SF, or Berkeley), Rasputins (SF area), or Waterloo (in Austin) would carry it. Outside of that, probably not.

And I don't think it's for lack of updating as there is a new choice on the top labled GREEN that talks about Bid for Green... I don't think that was there a few days ago???

The last thing that I see posted is the "Going home" note and that has been on there for a few weeks.

it wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of stipulation preventing them from promoting past albums/releases... but then again, it would benefit all of them. so who knows.

Well maybe they are just relaxing and trying to catch up with their families, etc during this "downtime" and not really worrying about Cd releases etc?
I think the bands management would really be the ones who made that decision.
I recall they didn't really promote the Wooden Nickel Anthology or Styx: Gold Anthology either..

My local Best Buy had 3 copies, but the guy had to dig through the back room to find 'em.
I'd say the band aren't the only ones not on the ball promotion-wise.

Hmm. Had no idea this was re-released. It's remastered in 5.1, I'll pick up a copy this weekend. Thanks for the headsup!

I found my copy at FYE yesterday. Did not think that they would have it but FYE always has the hard to find stuff. I was able to get Night Ranger's Hole In The Sun there. I also saw it at Music For A Song.

No fair, I had to pay $25+ dollars for my copy of Hole in the Sun from Amazon, then I had to wait 4 days for it... The FYE in my area did have Caught in the Act, but I had to opt for the new Song Remains the Same instead. Tough choice for me!!

So how are the extras? Has the whole thing been remastered? I am actually disappointed that it does not include the full CITA show. There is some footage out there that should have been included (Suite Madame Blue, Fooling Yourself, Miss America just to name a few). Would have been great to see these as well. Anywayt, I will pick it up when I have the time. Not high priority now since I copied my VHS tape to DVD last year and already have the extras in some other form.

In my opinion, current STYNX doesn't WANT to promote any of this stuff, because all it does it highlight the fact that DDY was largely responsible for their success, seeing as how he continues to be referred to by the general public as "the voice of Styx." Despite the fact that JY & Co. would make even MORE money if they actively promoted CITA or the Anthology, they just don't want DDY to make more royalty $$$. Sounds like a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
I think JY would be very happy if everyone forgot that Styx even existed prior to 1999...except for the songs that he and Tommy wrote.

And I'd say the viewpoint of the "general public" tends to be "Um ...the voice of who?"

I'm curious as to this comment. I've not heard him put it that way in some time.
And while I certainly have no intention to feed into the never ending crap of glorifying Dennis and villifying the other members, I do believe that most casual fans...aka general public have a perception that Dennis is/was " the voice of Styx" simply because it was his songs that were on the radio. Not better, not worse, just those that the general public could more readily identify.
No saints, no true sinners. Just men. Warts and all.
Peace to all

I didn't know that Dennis wrote Cold War, at least that's what the liner notes say.

Got my copy today. Haven't had a chance to pop it in yet. I'm shocked they took the time to do a 5.1 mix.
I wonder which version of the Babe video is on here since there were technically two.
Sad to say, but outside of maybe another compilation or ten, this may be the last Styx back catalog issue we'll get from Universal.
