When I thought it couldnt get any worse I just read the entire 412 page Mitchell Report,

On page 319 it talks about Dennis DeYoung and Steve Perry using steroids to enhance their vocal performances.

On page 349 'Chuck P (Styx bass player) admits to injecting HP21 a vocal enhancer into Dennis DeYoungs buttocks'.'This occured in 1981 during the Paradise Theatre tour'

Page 388 reveals that 'once Steve Perry stopped using HP21 and 'The Clear Vocal Enhancer' his vocal range and pitch lost 6 to 8 MPH decibles'. It was proven when Steve sang 'Dont Stop Believin after the White Sox won the World Series.

Many believe that 'Sox's manager Ozzie Guillen sounded much better than Perry' ' Ozzie was even offered the Journey job before JSS accepted it'' Rumor has it, that if Ozzie spoke better english he would of accepted Neals proposal.

All this can be read be logging on to www.cnn.commitchellreport/deyoung,perry ... 350388.com

All the heros and legends I knew as a child have fallen to idols of clay...............................

That was good. We know that Dennis would never take any illegal substances. Although I'm not sure Neil Schon didn't miss his fro and hit his head with some HGH or Steroids on his selection on his singer of the week.

HP21?

I thought they were injecting HP2P.. You have to wonder after 25 years if they will be suffering from HMP.

(Come on Styx fans.. put your thinking caps on..)

Somehow I think if Chuck wanted to inject something into Dennis' buttocks, it wouldn't have been drugs.

this is, of course, a joke

I just read in rollingstone.com that there will be an article soon detailing how three Rolling Stone beat writers knew Dennis DeYoung and Steve Perry were using steroids to voice enhance. ' Steve & Dennis were using at least 4 different types of steroids'. One of the writers claimed that he personally saw Chuck inject steroids into Dennis buttocks before a gymnaisum wedding in Chicago back in 1969.

Rolling Stone states this will exonerate their magazine, and give them back credibility among arena rock fans everywhere.

Once I read the Rolling Stone article I will report their findings to all of you.
