No doubt...this is a much version over the Gowan version.
Beyond the fact that he transposes the "Oh Lord" and "Best that we can" lines, he does a great job.

P.S. Interesting last line, "Next time you see Styx, you have to tell Mr. DeYoung to sing Renegade" - There never was a next time..

If TS's voice could handle the extra work, absolutely.....
Maybe he could hand off Renegade to GOWAN

A few mistakes, but honestly I like this acoustic version.
That being said, what a wonderful thing it must be for anyone to have a song recognized enough to be...well...infectious.
While I think Tommy has his hands full, I do think it would serve the band better to have him sing it.

On U2'S POPmart tour, The Edge sang "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and it was great. Gilmour sang all of the Waters sung songs (tongue twister?) during the pseudo-Floyd years. Maybe TS should sing some of the DDY songs. As a DDY fan, I would find that more appealing than having a replacement sing them.

I think many of us have advocated this for years, but it's never going to happen. It would also diversify their set list and open up possibiliies like TS singing old stalwarts like "The Best of Times".

Better yet, DDY should sing the DDY songs. How about that?

I'm sure that's the last thing Tommy wants to do at this point.
To sing Dennis' songs and fall short of greatness on a nightly basis? No way.
He'll leave that job to Gowan.
