1. That the current six players plus Dennis & Glen get together one last time for five shows at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago.
2. That they record for DVD and CD release a combination of 35-40 songs from those five shows .
3. That they record 3-5 new songs that remind me of old days to be a part of the DVD/CD package.
4. That these shows don't have the same bs cliches about having dreams or starting the whole train a rollin.
5. That they go off into the sunset and never mention getting together again.

Yeah, who would want to have wasted their time on losers, anyway? Especially in the freezing,
COLD!
OOPs, my wish/es would be:
Dennis, Tommy, J.Y., Chuck, with Todd. To do a show in Marshfield, Wisconsin. For the hell of it.

"This one goes out to anyone who ever felt like they had...too much time on their hands"
"Are you ready??? I said are you ready?? City X are your ready for Miss America!!!"
"In 1981, the California State legislature decided that some records including ours had backward satanic messages on them..."
"I'd like to play this next song for my wife Suzanne, ew've been married for x years..."

Can't say I totally agree here. I'd love to see all of the living members (past and present) of the band get back together for something like a farewell tour, but 5 shows at the same venue in one city? No thank you. If and when they decide to end Styx, they need to go out in style with a tour featuring an extensive setlist. Now, I do agree that a CD/DVD would be nice. New songs would not be needed though. After all, they wouldn't really need new material if they're ending it, right?

My wish would be:
That Dennis continue with his successful solo career -- all aspects of it -- and not ever reunite with his former band.

My wish would be that they (and various lackeys) stop reading messageboards like this one. Their blood pressure will thank them.

My 'wish" for Dennis and the band is that they continue to find projects that give them satisfaction. I've no wish for any kind of reunion. It just isn't worth it. I'm grateful for what they gave us, and if they choose to give us more, good for them.

Probably the truth - that I am Carrie Ann Deyoung, Mathew Deyoung, Dennis Deyoung, and Rajah.
(when in actuality, I am Tom Nardini)

Well, you know, some members (and ex-members) of the band read this stuff, and some, uh ...have it read for them. Either way, they're better off not knowing, IMO.

Sounds great
No Gowan
No Rickie
No Todd
The rest is fine.

It's ok, I realize you're probably only following protocol at this point.

What's wrong with Todd? I think he's pretty good, even during the 96/97 tours. John isn't coming back, so I think he's the next best thing.
As far as Ricky goes, I can take or leave him. He plays bass and that's it. Chuck doesn't seem well enough to do full shows, so I guess the only other option there would be is Glen (unless he's on guitar).

I'm thinking they could play a wide range of songs over the 5 nights. No one night would be the same. They could play all the hits plus stuff like Born For Adventure, Queen of Spades, Pieces of Eight, Lights, Castle Walls, Ballerina and stuff from the Wooden Nickel years.

The 5 nights would certainly be a nice way to end the whole thing at the end of a tour.. Different set list every night or format.

Froy I am confused about what you say here, I guess it is no surprise. If the current 6 memebers add Dennis and Glen, then Gowan , Ricky, and Todd are part of this.

Shaking head...why do you bother Zan? I have an image of you banging your head against a keyboard.
How about wishing for this thread to end?

I still don't understand what's wrong with Todd. I think he's a great drummer and I've seen several other opinions stating that. The current Styx line up has praised him by saying everything except "he's better than John was." Now, I'm not saying he is better than John, but he seems to be a good fit from everything I've heard and seen.
Is there something specific you don't like about him or his drumming style? I just can't name anything that he's doen to dislike him for in his role as a drummer.

I'll try to spare you, however I am sure you'll get a "normal" response from Froy. For him, anyone connected with the band in its current incarnation is somehow not worthy and no longer any good.
Todd is fine. And I say this as someone who leans more in the direction of Dennis. Not to worry. You'll learn to roll with the Froyisms.

I've always enjoyed Todd's drumming and think it adds alot to the current lineup. He's always been a very exciting drummer to watch and really makes things come to life.
