Obscure Quotes About Styx

For fun, I was wondering if anyone had any obscure qoutes about Styx that would not be obvious to die hards like us. For example the two I have are:

1) Jim Carrey mentioned in an interview that he lost his virginity while playing The Grand Illusion. (I don’t know if he meant the song or album, but if he meant album, I admire him for his stamina).

2) In an early1980's interview with Neil Peart in the New Music Express (a Canadian music magazine at the time), Neil was reviewing the Signals album, and mentioned that for Analog Kid, the lyrics “too many hands on my time” came from Styx’s TMTOMH. He just switched the words around. He then said something along the lines of “I confess, a Rush song that was actually influenced by Styx.” Sort of a backhanded compliment.

As far as I know these are not common knowledge. Anybody have others that may not be obvious?

In the liner notes of Dweezil Zappa's Confessions album, his drummer thanks "my drum sticks and the band Styx."

He was probably just trying to be punny, but still.

When discussing A&M records on his radio show (pre Sirius), Howard Stern was talking aobut how they never signed anyone big, to which someone on the show (Fred Norris?) mentioned Styx. He acknowledged it and then Robin Quivers said, "Oh I like Tommy Shaw".

LOL, A&M never signed anyone big?! I'm sorry, if memory serves me, they had a reasonably popular band called THE POLICE on there, didn't they? And then that guy, of what was his name . . . one name, reminds me of a bee . . . oh yeah, Sting!!!! Not to mention the Carpenters, Supertramp, Cat Stevens, Sheryl Crow . . . blah blah blah. I like Stern, but sometimes he does speak from pure ignorance.

I hope all is well.

Yep you gotta consider the source. I like Howard too, but this is the same guy who wishes cancer on people.

Here is a VERY obscure quote from a Styx band member. This was taken in late 1999.

The setting: a dark dark basement in a beautiful Chicago home.

The quotes:

' get a flashlight over here I know he is bluffing'

' Damn, Damn, Damn, he's got a fuc king full house'

'Mother.... Fu...ck....'

'You've taken all my money, here's my dog Chunks'.

'Suzzanne is going to brain me in the morning'

--Dennis DeYoung handing over his dog Chunks to Froy after a late night poker match.
