There is usually two theories about Styx's relationship with Toronto which stems from the spring of 2003, during the SARS scare in Toronto. They bailed on a promo gig there and in Montreal, but played paying gigs in Michigan and New York which were closer to Toronto then Montreal was. Q107 who promoted/sponsered the show lost something like 100,000 of their own money and also majorly irked the promoter who booked them not once but twice.

Many artists were roasted for cancelling Toronto at that time, but it seems many in Toronto, even today make it personal.

Secondly, the other "theory" is that when Styx plays Rama, they have a 90 day "No performance" clause with a certain distance of the venue. I think it's something like 200km or 2 hours. Toronto falls in that radius.

Tommy has mentioned in the past that they really blew the way the whole thing was handled, but it doesn't seem like fences are being mended.

Geez larry needs a haircut lol.

I think the Rama theory is truth, Jodes. I know here there's more than 90 days on those contracts.

I do wish they would mend fences. Kind of sucks for larry trying to play at home, you know?
