Has anyone ever seen the original "GWG" video (the color one that was scrapped)? I saw bits and pieces of it in the Tommy Shaw MTV special back in 84, but I would have loved to see the whole thing. My opinion, what I saw of the original was pretty cool and might have made that song a bigger hit had it seen the light of day. If I can remember, the B&W came out way late - the song had almost run its course by the time it even came out. I remember thinking when comparing DDY to TS videos when the songs first came out, "Well DDY certainly is winning the video battle and A&M sure spent a lot more on his video than TS's video." Little did I know what had happened behind the scenes on GWG. But then again, I would say DDY won the second video release battle as well as DWFH was another good video that got lots of MTV airplay, while Lonely School was again, pretty boring...Tommy's best video as a solo artist in my opinion was "No Such Thing" - look for "Bree" on Desperate Housewives on that one....outside of that, his videos were pretty unexciting...

Check YouTube. I know at least the "released" GWG video is there, but worth a shot. I'd check now, but I'm busier than a cat covering shit.

I have the full video somewhere. I'll have to search for it, I know it is on VHS... Incidentally, I have the GWG POSTER that matched that colorful video. I guess you could say it was a poster promoting the video.
