Just ran into this site. It's a treasurtrove of live performances from the late 60's and 70's.

Two Styx concerts are listed: 1976 & 1978

The 1976 is the KBFH I'm pretty sure, not SF. And the 1978 may be the FM Chicago show.

I know I have heard other concerts from 1978 era but do not recall this one. I don't remember those particular introductions to some of the songs. Very enjoyable and excellent quality.

I always forget to go to Wolfgang's Vault and I know it is a trove of great concert moments.

I got a good listen to the 1978 concert this weekend. It really is stellar. Dennis and Tommy do amazing vocals on all their songs but standouts are Suite Madame Blue, Crystal Ball and a rip 'em up Man in the Wilderness.

Plus I love the intro to Crystal Ball. Quite beautiful.

I even enjoyed Lorelei and Light Up, despite being a bit tired of both songs.
