I'd like to see a reunion between Chuck Negron and Three Dog Night......they do a good show without him and all, but it's just not as good without his vocals....

In the category of not really a reunion, but still worth seeing, I'd like to see Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Roger Daltrey, and Pete Townsend go on tour together..........They'd just have to call themselves

I just saw 3 dog night a few weeks ago - they were great. Put on a hell of a show.

Reunion - hmmmmmm - Damn Yankees, The Kinks (never happen due to Dave's stroke - still the greatest concert I've ever seen - and I've seen them all), the ORIGINAL Journey (opening a can of worms here), Grand Funk Railroad, the Runaways (would be AWESOME)

NO REUNION - uhhhhhhh - Vixen, Bananarama, Shiela E and all of the other lame chick acts from the 80's

Agreed! One of the best, rawest, rocking-est concerts I have ever seen. It is a shame about Dave because Ray is in great shape vocally and artistically, it seems.

Sheila E ROCKS. Her music kinda sucks a little, but she can wail on the drums! Seriously, she blew my face off with Ringo 2 years ago. I was stunned.

The Kinks were good when I saw them back in the 80s, tho I'd hardly say they were the best show I've *ever* seen. I think Styx, Floyd, and certainly Simon & Garfunkel have them beat (talk about a great reunion). Hell, Jimmy Buffett was pretty good too, and I'm not a big fan.

I'd like to Ringo and Paul team up with Clapton on something - that would be pretty sweet.

Dream reunion: Led Zeppelin, even with Jason Bonham. I wish Robert Plant would pull his head out of his arse and make it happen. They don't even have to tour like they used to...just set up residency in Vegas and let everyone come to them.

Nightmare reunion: Abba. I like their music, but I think they would be terrible, considering that one of the chicks forgot how to speak English over the years.

+1000 on both. Sheila E is an amazing drummer, period.

I've been wanting a real DY tour since 1993, and to this day will still say that both DY and SB are some of the best things Tommy has done. At least we finally got a SB tour last year.

I would agree a Supertramp tour with Roger would be interesting in theory, but honestly, probably kinda boring (and I like Supertramp).

As much as I like Journey, I'm not sure I'd want to see them with Perry because they would most likely need to drop the key of some songs and it may change the way they sound. It was noticeable on the Genesis tour last year, although they were still good (some of the best shows I've seen ever).

It'd be nice to see Genesis with Peter G. doing some of the 70 - 75 material even if it's a limited number of dates.

Outside of that, I've seen most of the bands I like either when they were together or when they reunited.

But if I had to pick one band, it would definitely be Damn Yankees.

America with Dan Peek back in tow, Pete Cetera back with Chicago, Steve Perry and Journey.

This would not be a reunion per say, but......Ringo, Paul and all the siblings of the Beatles. Dhani Harrision who is a great guitar player, James McCarntey (ditto), Ringo's two sons that both play drums (one recently left Oasis) and Julian/Sean Lennon. These guys are not only all musicians, some of them (Julian) sound exactly like dear old dad. I doubt anyone in that camp would seriously suggest it though.

All great ideas, Peek was underrated although Dewey and Gerry are undoubtedly the core of America. Cetera would be great, but I love Scheff and to be honest, Cetera's voice is nowhere near what it used to be - it's very telling when he doesn't even have the same sustain or power when he's singing the stuff DOWNTUNED.

Dire Straits reunion would be great, although even a "Mark Knopfler and the music of Dire Straits" tour would suffice as he IS DS.

Damn Yankees would be fun. Not as storied of a band, but they were a hell of a lot of fun and great live music.

And in a related story: Cheech has apparently reunited with Chong for a standup comedy tour. (Real story)

I suppose anything is possible then.

Ditto on that one! That's one idea I've not thought of... would alleviate the mad scramble for tickets and hotel rooms all over the country.. or the sad possibility that one would have to go to England if they were lucky enough to score a ticket. I for one am sick of Robert traveling around the country as Allison's back up singer.

I would love to see another Shaw/Blades tour, that format was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time..

I had waited forever, and I actually know someone here in Nashville who is friends with Art (she handled the song selection for 'Everything Waits To Be Noticed', which I actually pitched a song for), and she had predicted over and over it would never happen, though Art wanted it badly. Paul did not. And then, just like that, it did happen, BOOM! And it was fabulous. I saw the tour at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, and it was amazing. One song after another from perhaps the greatest song catalog ever written, played and sung superbly. WOW! Art singing "Kathy's Song" was the single greatest live vocal performance I have ever seen.

I saw Simon & Garfunkel on that tour at Milwaukee County Stadium, I didnt cry or anything ( 18 Year old guys never do....) It was a great show on a perfect late summer evening, and the performance/vocals were damn near perfect !

The Central Park DVD is a great reminder of that show.

Very much showing my age here. I saw S & G when they were first starting out. The two guys and one guitar. I remember mostly how amazing the sound was that came from those two voices and Paul's guitar. I thought at the time they were probably going to go far.

" . . .but Paul very cleverly convinced me it should be alphabetical." LOL. That Art Garfunkel, such a jokester. I actually also really enjoy his book of poems, 'Still Water'. At one point he was working on a memoir, which I bet would have been amazing, but he decided for some reason not to go forward with that. Think of his music career, along with his movie career . . . wow, what a story. And everyone says he's a nice guy, too.

The night I saw them, they were both great, but Art in particular was just absolutely on fire. I'm really a tremendous cynic (no surprise there), and I usually am not blown away by much, but he just floored me with how well he sang and how much star quality he has in person. You know, on TV he just does not come across the same - he can seem kinda nervous or diffident - but live he just so clearly had such joy to be there, singing those songs again after hoping against hope for all those years that it might still happen. I'm not a big believer in "stars", but I swear to God, if I've ever, in my whole career, witnessed a real "star" at work, it was Art Garfunkel that night. AMAZING. Oh yeah, and that Paul guy was okay, too, LOL.

Ultimate reunion for me? I'll take the surviving members of the original Rainbow lineup, mainly Dio on vocals with Blackmore on guitar. Throw in Tony Carey on keyboards and Jimmy Bain(ex-DIO) on bass and you'd have 4/5 of the RISING lineup, only missing Cozy Powell on drums(RIP). Guess we'd have to be satisfied with either Simon Wright or Bobby Rondinelli on drums, but the main thing would be to get Dio and Blackmore back together one more time(they haven't played together since 1979)...
